A fresh start for a fresh season

Recently I was permanently banned for negative, and toxic behavior. I would say that I was a bit out of control and not meaningful about other peoples feelings and views towards my actions. I did not respect the summoners code, as dumb as it sounds (sorry riot) but I realized I am not playing against bots, but real people with real feelings like me. A suggestion of mine is to release a jailbreak of all the prisoned players affected by their ban, and give them a fresh start in the beginning of the new season. I cannot guarantee that all players will not go back to their old ways, but I know for one that players like me will not take this decision for granted. I have met a lot of friends through this game, and I am willing to experience the feeling of playing in summoners rift again. People have also spent some good money on this game, so let's not let it go to waste? Big shoutout to @ZeroSuit for giving me motivation not to give up, and putting up with an ex - toxic player like me. #FreeTheSummoners

Please no. I've seen so many people on the boards admit to having a bunch of perma banned accounts, and being toxic on the boards, I'd hate to see how they act in a game.

Sure, some may not be toxic. But why take the chance of only a small few not being toxic? I'd rather not have 100s of players coming back and start scripting all over again, or being toxic all over again, all because the season ended.

And if you're gonna spend money on this game, then don't break the summoners code. Its your own fault if you put thousands of dollars into this game and then got banned for being toxic.

I wouldn't mind given them a chance, but it should come with many many MANY games of proof of reform and probably some community service as well.

Once they've proven they can do those, I wouldn't mind releasing the account.

Meh, I don't like this. After all losing the account in question including all progress on it is part of the punishment. If there was a way around it, it wouldn't actually be a punishment now would it.

A better idea would have been to heed the first warning or 2 before you get to permaban status like everyone else, and this wouldn't be an issue. Funny thing is, I have only ever got 1 warning and it was during the tribunal era, and my account has never been actioned since. Funny how that works for most people, huh?

Eh, Its so/so for me. I do believe in second chances but I'd argue there's only a small minority of banned players that deserve it, cherry picking those people Isn't something the employees can or should be made to do. I've seen the issue addressed before as "If we started giving special treatment to some players we'd have to give it to all players."

Just start a new account so it may carry more weight.

I got a 7 day ban couple seasons back because like most people in that boat for whatever reason.

I was like F this I don't care I can start another account. I didn't enjoy my new account because it has nothing. By the time I hit lvl 30 my ban was long served.

So I made a decision, if I enjoy this game then I shall be on my best behaviour in game, if not F u all and I'll just quit for good.

So I feel what you are going through, but sometimes we won't treasure what we have until it's gone.

Seems you had many chances to make the decisions I've made, seeing that you are perma banned which is way severe than what I ever got.

Perhaps starting a new account will remind you how shit it is to have nothing again...thst or just quit man. We all need to make that decision at some point.

I cant vote on that because its misleading. You used the term "second chance" to imply that unbanning them would be a second chance. I think your second chance comes after your first punishment. Could be a chat restrict, could be a 14 day ban. By the time you get perma'd, you likely already had your second chance. So I do think people deserve second chances, but what youre proposing isnt a second chance.
