Does This Make Me Toxic?

Whenever I have teammates that aren't trying to play well at all, I stop playing well too, as a conscious decision, not really feeding but not trying to avoid dying either. My last game my bot went 0/12. You don't get a score like that without a lack of trying. Does this make me toxic?

Well, I'll tell you a story that happened to me recently.

I was playing support bot, and my adc started raging. Like, I know, it happens. Usually I mute, but I was in a bad mood. And he was telling me to leave the lane.

So, I said "okay." And left the lane.

Needless to say, I wasn't really able to help anyone else, whether because of bad luck or not, I don't know, my leaving didn't help us win.We ended up losing the game, and the adc was still angry. After it was over, I felt bad.

I've realized since that I messed up. I contributed to the toxicity. My team didn't blame me, exactly, though one did say to report both of us. And really, it's understandable. I wasn't TRYING to troll, I was trying to get away from the angry rager, but it only made the situation worse.

This experience has taught me that I should just relax and play my game. Mute people when they become toxic, and just do your best, until the end, trying to remain calm.

I come across this form of team diffusion all the time and I find myself doing the same thing. No that's not toxic unless you start to be the one that ruins the game for other players. Honestly, muting does nothing other than cut off communication. Is that what is best? NO. I will say it again, NO. league is ALL ABOUT TEAM FLUIDITY and guess what folks, that takes wholesome, honest, communication. It is up to RIOT to fix this but it is our job to let them know. Riot needs to understand that league is not for everyone and/or they need to group players together according to skill and champ depth, simple as that.

No I consider that trollish. I don't know the exact definitions, but to me toxicity is verbal, trolling is physical. If you play badly on purpose, that's trolling, if you chat negatively that's being toxic. I'd say you're just kind of a troll. You don't focus on winning, you change yourself based on others' performance, you're a troll.

No, they have a word for that, and it isn't being toxic; it's called being tilted, and ideally you'd acknowledge and avoid it.

It sucks when your team is a bunch of bonobos, and yeah some games are unwinnable, but most aren't. Who cares how some Muppet is playing? That shouldn't concern you, just work on yourself, even in those bad games.

Yes you are. Maybe your teammate has less experience with his champion than you and you could give him advices instead of trolling. I mean, they could be having a bad day, cold basement and slow reflexes, it's late, i dont know. but still, it's not a reason to give up.

Some people are terrible early game but amazing late game, you never know.

And throwing a game is bad for your stats.
