Banned for using overwolf.

I have been Playing on this account for over 5 years now and have never done anything to violate the TOS outside of a chat suspension 3 years ago. I just recently Downloaded OVERWOLF and use the REPLAY HUD to rewatch my deaths and improve at the game. I played one game today as ZED MID launched the app while loading and then launched REPLAY HUD DURING THE GAME. I play my next game and at the end of it I get a message that my account is permanently suspended. I received the following email on the matter:

Hello Summoner,

Your account: xxforeverfreexx was banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client. We believe that all players should play on equal footing in an effort to promote competitive sportsmanship. You should be aware that modifying your League of Legends client is against the Terms of Use: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/legal/termsofuse. We hope you can see that it is unsatisfying to play against other players who are using a tool to gain an advantage over others.

If you wish to dispute the actions taken against your account, you may contact us via this link: http://support.riotgames.com

Please look into this as I would never do anything to break the TOS or the Summoner's code as I love this game and have almost 4000 hours of logged game time.

EDIT: I received the following email after asking why I got a copy paste response telling me it was for "malicious 3rd party programs". "Hi there,

This account was suspended permanently for benefiting from the use of exploits. This was not a result of Overlays."

The only thing I could think of was playing garen in URF His e could be activated more than once if you did it fast enough. I didn't know it was an exploit doing more than normal damage and popular streamers and players like pantsaredragon and nightblue played garen during urf and streamed or made videos on it and ARE NOT BANNED YET.

EDIT #2: MY PBE account that I have played on almost everyday with some friends over the past month is still in good standing leading me to believe it was an automated FALSE POSITIVE on the normal client or the PBE account would be suspended as well

I use overwolf, but only LolWiz and not replay HUD. I haven't had any problems, so its most likely replay HUD. However a lot of LCS streamers use Replay Hud, namingly C9, so your right in that it wouldn't be a ban worthy thing. Gl with ticket.

My name is Guy and I'm part of the Support team at Overwolf. (Proof: http://prntscr.com/az00zu - sort of :/ ) I just wanted to drop by to clarify the situation a little bit:

We at Overwolf do our best not to be intrusive, nor to be in any violation of a game's terms of service. With that in mind, we are in constant contact with Riot, and run things by them before integrating anything in their game.

Furthermore, as it was mentioned already here - many LCS players (C9 for example) and other popular streamers are our partners and it would be pretty awkward if they would be banned for using Overwolf. I use it at home all the time, for many months now and never had any issues because of it.

If for any reason you are literally banned because of us please feel free to contact me on our subreddit and we will investigate this in the appropriate channels.

I got my perma ban after a game suddenly as well for the same reason you mentioned. I suspected two things for my ban:

  1. 90% of my games have been Braum after I picked it up in my recent trip to Korea. My KDA for Braum got enormously high for the past month, possibly raising suspicions. Most of my games have been 4-5 man ques also, which gives better strategy and communications that have led to a better KDA and win rate as well.

  2. I do use Razer Cortex to shut off other programs but I'm not sure if Riot considers that as a 3rd party program.

So I tried to dispute my case to riot, they sent the same automated message like you received. I tried appealing again and came this very rude response on how there is "no error" in their investigation.

"Hey again,

I am a player behavior specialist mentioned by XXX. This isn't about playing well. We only take this sort of action when we have conclusive evidence and based on my personal review coupled with the review of our team here, there is no error. If there are no other questions or concerns, I'll have to consider this matter resolved. ​ If you'd like to discuss anything else let me know, otherwise the ticket will be closed."

Unfortunately, I don't think you will get your account back as well.

THAT HAPPENED TO THIS ACCOUNT OF MINE ASWELL ROFL. don't really care though since I have 4 other accounts, but this was my main :/ rip "miyazawa" It happened to me the same time to you as well man, thank you for the quality service, Riot GAmes.

Contact Riot Games, and tell them why you were banned, and that you were using Over-Wolf, perhaps this is why others players have been getting banned as well?

Had the Same Problem, my Accout Nomosu on EUW get banned after useing Overwolf, And Riot Games doesnt want to give me that Acc back , i mean to use that Programm is not illegal. Played since Season 4 on it and got banned after useing that Programm. GGWP

i have been playing this game for over 4 years i think and i have never cheated in this game i dont know why was i suspend also today just like you

the things that i use are lolclient, lolclientpbe, and overwolf try to find out why i was banned ?
