Writing a huge essay on this would be a waste of time but summing it up fast and thorough :

There's a fricking MUTE BUTTON, if someone is bothering you, saying something that hurts your feelings or you consider them "TOXIC" (what a stupid expression), PRESS MUTE!!

This community is now filled with RATTING kids that find only one solution to every single problem REPORTING. The biggest thing now is the TRIBUNAL what a fiasco it has become it seems all of the people DRIVING the Tribunal are as big of pussies as the players reporting!!

In real life you stick up for yourself, you defend yourself if something is making you unhappy. RATTING to some self-made justice "tribunal" is now more toxic than the players they pretend to be in nature.

FINE, Report for AFK, Report for intentional feeding those things are what we want to get rid of. But now it turns out that if 3 buddies decide to pick on ONE and he decides hes not going to take the verbal abuse but they ALL Report him in a 3:1 , they are right everytime

People need to grow up, and figure out that sometimes theres a HUGE DIFFERENCE between THE TRUTH (that hurts) and being TOXIC. If you are doing bad because of X and Y decisions YOU make in the game don't report a player calling you out for it claiming hes verbally abusing you on a stupid free to play videogame..

The mute button isn't there as an excuse to act like a jerk to other people.

The mute button is there to help prevent toxic behavior for the remainder of that match. The report button is there to help prevent toxic behavior for any future matches.

Yep, I agree. However, verbally attacking and harassing other people isn't really defending yourself. All it really does is make the situation at hand even worse for those around you. Besides, verbally harassing others isn't acceptable behavior in the real world, so why should it be acceptable here?

Okay. First off, the number of reports from a single game doesn't matter. Second, it doesn't matter whether it's blunt truth or just being a dick, it's still rude. Keep it to yourself.

9 reports are the same (taken into account) as one report. Anyone can report another person for any reason. all that matters is if the report is legitimate or not. If you are using racial slurs/homophoblic/derogatory/etc that is fully against the ToS you have every right to get reported and eventually punished for it. Just because there is a mute button doesnt mean you should be allowed to act like that. You can defend yourself just dont stoop to their level of breaking the rules.

I normally don't mute the toxic player on our team to make an more detailed report.

Dude, RIOT wants more banned accounts. The more banned accounts they have the more people will buy RP to replenish skins/champs on a new account. It is in their best interest to ban as many accounts as possible. Just make a new account and don't ever buy RP. You can play for free and it won't matter if you lose the account b/c you have no money invested.

I use to feel the same way. Ban the feeders and afkers, and let everyone just mute each other if what they say makes someone butthurt.

However, there's absolutely no need to get yourself muted by offending someone with your poor choice of words. It does zero good to frustrate or otherwise harm the morale of a teammate. If your words are unconstructive, then you get muted and have been cut off from vital communication with your teammates.

Seriously, look up morale sometime: "morale is the capacity of a group of people to pull together persistently and consistently in pursuit of a common purpose"

Even if you want to choke the shit out of your 1/12/3 bot lane, it is in your best interest to use your words to bolster this person rather than insult and tilt them. If you need to point out a mistake, offer helpful and constructive criticism. You only fuck yourself and the team by hurting morale
