"ez" and "izi"

Hey there, before you decide to downvote this post to oblivion, please read what I want to say. The words ez and izi should be bannable. Why, you ask? Ok, clear example: Player X dies in a way that they don't want to be talked about, Player Y that kills them says "ez". Player X gets tilted, starts cursing, ends up getting banned. Yes, I know the player is responsible for their ban, but the words ez and izi_ are also pretty much showing disrespect to the other players in game. What do y'all think?

I think we should make killing other champions bannable, just imagine if you kill somebody, he gets tilted, starts cursing, ends up getting banned.

But why not go further, lets make playing the game bannable. You might tilt somebody, i do not want to give you the opportunity to tilt anybody, get banned!

Yes, also make using the taunt emote bannable.

Disrespect is not bannable. If that tilts you that much i would advise just turning off all chat.

I'll agree that they're unsportsmanlike, and while Riot had the unsportsmanlike conduct report option I would report them as such. However, I do not consider them on par with other behavior that warrants a chat restriction/punishment.

Keep in mind that disrespect can happen any number of ways in a video game. If "ez" results in a ban then players could just as easily find/make an in game equivalent of tea bagging (flash in place on the corpse, for example). If something as low key as "ez" is enough to tilt someone, then the best thing they can do is turn off all chat.

They actually are already punishable. ez and izi may not get you banned, but they are just barely above the no-go line to get you a chat restrict if you keep doing it over and over again to bait tilt.

But I would not approve of it doing anything more than that.

Um, mute people. I hate when people try to tilt me, but if I ignore them, they are the ones whole lose because they are the ones who are spending their time typing things

If that is bannable then riot hit new low

Ehhh. I disagree with most things being bannable (chat wise). However, I agree that almost anyone I have met that uses the phrase "ez" is toxic and generally trolls very hard. Not all troll but a lot do and very, very few are not toxic.

Yeah sure it's disrespectful but it shouldn't be bannable. If you're getting tilted and banned from someone saying "ez" then you probably shouldnt be playing competitively

Also, there is a /mute command for a reason

Xidphel1/23/2019, 5:06:12 PM1 votes

No. Punishable at best.

They have a choice not to respond. If they start to flame, that's more a reason to be banned than saying a small little thing. Ez can tilt people, but you don't have to do anything. Whenever I kill the person who said "ez" I just throw it right back at them, and there, they flame and guess whos more bannable.

i'd say contextual a few ez or izi here and there accompanied by standard behavior is no way warranting a ban, however someone spamming ez/izi and using as means to harrass a player yes harrassment is a bannable offence and harrassment can be you saying izi/ez to someone multiple times to incite reaction.

EZ = Ezreal

IZI = slang. izi or isn'ti? I dunno, u tell me.

EZ should be allowed. GG EZ(real)

IZI should result in an immediate and permanent ban for awful net-grammar. [slayer-jinx-wink]

I thought that shit was punishable. Huh.

The Highest Noon1/24/2019, 4:46:44 AM1 votes

Punishing a person for saying EZ just because the person they're talking to gets tilted and becomes toxic is a step away from punishing a person for playing poorly just because someone reacts negatively to it.

Player 1: Ez Player 2: noOo Player 1: doesn't ward Player 2: noOo

Let's pretend like saying noOo gets you banned.

It's the community that decides whether something should be punishable or not. If enough people report this kind of behaviour, the system could potentially add it to its list of inappropriate behavioural patterns that the majority of players disagree with.
