Can we talk about this?
So, ever since Rengar's update I've been using him a lot. And I mean, a LOT. At first I was going full damage like everyone else has been, but I would just get CC'd and blown up every time. So I thought, why not try bruiser? And while I'm at it I mine as well build a triforce since it's actually not that bad on him with his higher base AD and reverted Q. And let me tell ya, this build is actually disgustingly strong. Win or lose I typically end up doing very well, because on top of being super durable I still do enough damage to delete squishy champions. Now, I'm not saying that Rengar doesn't need buffs. I'm just saying that this build is much more effective than the standard assassin build from what I've observed. However, along with discovering how effective this build is, I also quickly found out how much people don't like it for some reason. In almost every game I play using this build, I get flamed so hard by my team, and/or made fun of by the enemy team. Doesn't matter how well I do, I could go 18/3 for all they care, but if we lose it's automatically my fault. "I can't carry a tank Rengar" said the tank Veigar. "ur such a noob you literally do no damage" said the 4/17 Zyra. And so on so forth. I don't understand why I keep getting flamed. I've tested it repeatedly, it works well, and my end goal is to help my team win the game. There's no specific way to play this game, so why is it that the community seems to discourage experimentation, regardless of whether or not it works? I can guarantee you that if some pro in Korea or the LCS did the same thing I was everyone else would start doing it too, but when some random Gold 2 player from NA does it, he's trash. It just doesn't make a bit of sense.
