LoL Community Vs. CS:GO Community (Youtube Video)

Here is a video that I edited in order to compare the potential of a regular LoL match (playing at plat 2) with most of the time a regular CS:GO match playing MGE which I see as equal ranks.

I always see a lot of concern about "the LoL community," but really it's not the community, it's just human beings feeling 100% safe behind a keyboard or a microphone to be able to say and act as people they truly are.

Let me know what you guys think either on the video or in this thread and try to bump this post up to bring light to this whole "worst community" thing.

I'm pretty sure that one of the reasons LoL has a more toxic community is because there's 2-3x as large of a player base, making it easier to run into toxic players. Another thing that I'd say influences the toxic playerbase is how frustrating it can be to play while behind, and from my experence you don't really have that issue on CS:GO.

Also, all of the toxic kiddies go to CoD instead of CS:GO

I'll be frank with you here, what you consider toxic is really not that toxic at all in comparison to normal standards in League. You're showing things I see every game. If you want to see toxic I could post at least 20 screenshots of the most berating, disgusting things said in the community of League, and the most trolly of trolls(comes into champ select - I'm feeding so dodge your promo or lose your choice, because F you N****) Sent in so many submit tickets to Riot without anything being done about it that I just gave up trying to clean up the community.

Waiting the day for tribunal to come back. Yes CS:GO can be toxic, but for some reason it's way easier for me to ignore it also the Kick Player thing is a huge benefit.

TBH, the toxicity problem is one that will always exist as long as there is any form of communication ingame. Weather voice or text, toxicity will exist. LoL has problems, Dota has them, CSGO has them. All in different forms of course, because of the presence of voice chat in Dota and CSGO.

It is regrettable that LoL is a genre that does not adequately support vote-kick, however that is a function of the type of features in LoL (leveling, item builds, champion choice) that are not present in CSGO. Dota has a system for leavers that seems interesting and that I would like to see some iteration of it in LoL.

Most of all, LoL tries to be friendly to a wider audience than both Dota and CSGO. As such, it is important that younger players are not stuck with players likely to ruin their experience. I think this is the key difference between the games. Dota and CSGO already have their playerbase, while LoL constantly expands theirs.

Personally, I think the systems in place here are doing an acceptable job (as can be seen by some of the posts on these forums), but could always be better.
