Popular players exempt from rules?

I just finished watching a stream in which the streamer was telling his support 'to play and traffic', 'I can see why my country bombed yours', 'f**k you', etc.

Is there a reason why these individuals aren't held accountable for what they say on stream and type in game? I'm genuinely curious. This particular individual doesn't even have a chat restriction, which blows my mind.

People in LCS boost accounts and actually ruin the game and only get a slap on the wrists and nothing more. People who stream league 'for a living' are toxic AF and aren't punished.

Seems like rito is playing favorites and/ignoring the elephant in the room

Dunkey is pretty famous. He got permabanned for being toxic.

XiaoWeiXiao got suspended for ELO boosting.

DoDot was 14-day banned for trolling.

Of course, its based on what is said and actions taken in game. If they said it on stream, Riot has nothing to hold against them.

Riot can't hold people responsible for what they say on stream, that's Twitch not League of Legends.

And for them to be held responsible for what they say in chat they must be reported by other players in the game, and then they're treated like any other player reported.

You, as the viewer, have the option to not watch the stream to show your opinion on the matter.

"Popular" players get punished all the time.

A few are famous for it. Tyler1 has been banned ~17 times or some such nonsense.

You can also look up all the professionals who have been punished if you just google it.
