False Script accusations?

So, I was playing ARAM with my gold 4 friend, and he just so happened to play an a level lower than his usual. He was dodging all these skill shots, but by no means was he scripting, since he was getting hit regardless. The enemy team heavily suspected him of scripting even though he wasn't. I'm worried that he's going to get reported and banned even though none of this was his fault and these accusations aren't true.

Usually scripting is detected automatically like LeaveBuster and feederbuster (I cannot imagine it relies on reports). If Rito cheating detection didn't detect anything from him during game, I don't think even 9 reports will change anything.

Riot tries to be very careful about 3rd party bans, so false positives are rare. The last time I heard about any, it was because of a Linux setup that required a background process to run League that facilited and/or mimicked known scripts.

There was an announcement a few months ago so players would (hopefully) avoid bans when they weren't cheating.

If it's not true then nothing will be found if he was reported, so there should be nothing to worry about.

If he actually wasn't scripting, Riot'll usually be able to tell. So don't worry!

If he does get punished for it, he can always submit a ticket, since Riot does get a few false positives that slip through every time.
