Honor penalties were "too harsh"... Ya think?

Just really glad Riot is deciding to make re-leveling honor a little easier. I got a 10 game chat ban 4 months ago, and I can honestly say I have been on my best behavior since, only using chat to encourage teammates and strategize and I just mute anyone who starts being negative. I've played probably hundreds of games in that time and I get honored regularly. Yet I am still only honor 2 and haven't reached any milestones toward honor 3.

So this thread isn't a complaint, but more of a nod toward Riot for taking a step in the right direction, I think.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with harsh punishments for toxic players, but the reclimb for reformed players has been taking way too long and has felt entirely unrewarding. I don't think it has been fair to me or other players in my position that getting tilted in one game, 4 months ago, has continued to hinder my honor progression.

its way too damn harsh,like chiil riot wtf. i managed to climb from honor 0 and ended honor 3 last season so im okay but cmon keeping those who were below honor 2 stuck there in the reset was so damn evil,they could give them a chance

Same. I got a chat ban like 4-5 months ago and have just now hit the last milestone before honor level 1.

I've been on pretty good behavior since then, getting full honors in many, many games.

I'll admit i've had my slip ups here and there, which has slowed my progress - and that's nobody's fault but mine, but god damn. Takes absolutely forever to get back to any sort of meaningful honor level. Way longer than it should, to be sure.

I might have the unpopular opinion but I think the penalty was just fine, if not too low. I got a deserved 2 week ban last august, went from honor 3 to 0. After the ban it took 2-3 months to get to honor 5, which I had not been in before the ban, when I didn't think I would get to honor 5 at all.

i think im honor 3 after not being able to get rid of honor 5 last season no punishment in years at least chat wise. maybe afk 20 minute q time earlier last year. i should have 60 games into this new season.
