Only get toxic players/actual intentional feeders in my series

Why is this a thing? Does the matchmaker have some sort of dumb algorithm that detects I'm in a series and gives me players who just nonstop type in chat then rage and intentionally feed the whole game? Just went 0-3 in my series to get back to gold (was gold last season and playing for the first time in over 6 months) because players in my games just were intentionally trying to have us lose after about 10 mins or less had passed in the game. The fact that this keeps happening over and over again really just makes the game not fun at all and reinforces why i stopped playing a while ago. Does this happen with anyone else where as soon as they are in their series they get these types of players or am I the only one..?

You're probably not the only one. It's probably not just in your series.

Let's say you roll a six-side dice 3 times. What's the chance you get a 1 all three times? 1/216.

Let's say the numbers represent skill level (relative to your skill in the ELO you're in). In any given game, the chance you get 4 teammates lower or same skill as you is about 6%. The chance you get any 1 teammate to be lower skill than you is about 80%.

It's very likely that you are experiencing games where someone of lower skill is matched with you. But that's due to luck and probability, not due to you being in a series.

Another point I'd like to make is that you may be having trouble advancing because you're "where you belong" for lack of a better way to say it. If the system considers your skill to be at your current ELO, you'll be winning about 50% and losing about 50% - which means it'd be hard for you to win a series (that requires 3/5). Just looking through your recent match history (I didn't actually count), it looks like you're about 50%/50%.

Does this mean you'll never be gold? I don't think so. You definitely look like a strong adc. Like.. a very strong adc. Build up your skill in one or two other roles and you'll probably be climbing.

Best of luck to you in your current series (if it hasn't already finished, op.gg won't update)!

Yes, the code looks something like this:

if ((player = iHardex) && (player(status) = in promo series))) set (teammate 1 = feeder) set (teammate 2 = feeder) set (teammate 3 = spammer) set (teammate 4 = rager) set (opponent 1 = Challenger) set (opponent 2 = Challenger) set (opponent 3 = Challenger) set (opponent 4 = Challenger) set (opponent 5 = Challenger)

Fuck a series, that just seems to be the case with games, in general.

Riot ruined their community by issuing all of these perm bans so lightly.

Like idk what they think happens to the majority of the players that get perm banned, but I can assure you they don't just leave lmao. This can be evidenced in the apparent decline of the community over the years, and especially since they implemented the IFS system.

You're not by any chance mentioning you're in a series in any of these games are you? Trolls relish triggering people and high pressure situations make their job easier, and the reactions their trolling illicits are usually stronger and more fulfilling for them.

I've also noticed that players that normally wouldn't flat out int are more likely to if they know they can ruin someone else's series. What better way to treat a sour mood than to spread It? (Being sarcastic, but seriously) Jealousy is angers ugly cousin after all. They could possibly be jealous that you're advancing and they're not.

Now that's not to say you even need to mention you're in a series for them to find out, unfortunately lolnexus has a feature that points out players currently in series as well.

You could also just be experiencing a rash of bad luck, like Chermorg mentioned.

If I were you I would just keep on persevering through the ugliness, you're bound to pierce the heavens eventually.

Your belief in yourself is your magic!
