Instalocking and Trollpicks

It pisses me off that as a player you have to deal with people who lock in champions and positions even though the position's already been called, or people who decide that no matter what happens, they will play the champion they wanted to play in the first place even if the rest of the team has to "suffer" under their decision. If you call adc and the last summoner (who hasn't picked a champion and should pick a kind of supportish char because all other positions have been called and locked in) chooses Zed and decides to farm away your minions and ks you the entire game, and you lose the game because he the other adc kills him after every single time he kills their support and gets fed, it really takes the fun out of the game. It messes up your kda and win rate too. And always choosing draft pick sucks too, because seriously: who wants to wait felt 4 minutes before getting into a game? The penalty on queue dodging is kind of meh because seriously, it's better to have to wait another 20 seconds before getting into the game than wasting between 15 to 40 minutes of your life (because "surrendering is for noobs") on a game you're gonna lose in the end because your team matchup sucks. And of course someone could say "well you could win" or "losing belongs to the game", but for you to win the other team really has to suck hard in most cases. Just like a 4 v 5 team can also win if the other team sucks. It's hard, it's tiring, it's a lot, but it isn't fun. And I'd rather lose because the other team plays more skillfully than because of a trollpick. And no, the report function doesn't give me back those 15-40 minutes of my life. Anybody else have the opinion, that not picking a champion shouldn't be penalized (or at least less)? (To avoid advertisers just add an out of game report function for them, an out of game report function would be smart anyways. After some games I just exit the room as fast as I can because some summoners piss me off so much I don't want to see them anymore, and forget to report them. ^^' Or at least a complaint function.)

To be fair, all you are saying is that the other players should be meta. That whats wrong with the current attitude of the community at large, AND A GLARING oversight with the new match making system, that they are literally telling other players that the only way to play is to have 1 top, a jungle, a mid, and two people bot. I'm only grateful that they had just barely enough sense to call the position that some think is reserved for "adc" as "bot" so that people have much more leeway to not choose an adc while down there ( Mordekaiser approved). ( Blitzcrank Alistar ditto) ( Thresh What delightful agony we shall inflict, if our teammates dont troll Rengar ) ( Lux Tactical decisions, are welcome. Nautilus )

I know there was a message to the community a few updates back about how people shouldn't be afraid to break the mold and try new things, but they needed to put that in a more obvious place where more people would read so that instead of people going "you are choosing non meta, i'm going to troll and afk and report you now" and everyone blames you for the loss not the player who had a hissy fit.

As for players who go "QQ I AM ONLY GOING TO PLAY ONE THING AND YOU CANT STOP ME." .. .

I just realised you made this thread. I'm a support main (surely you've seen my small comment about support corki, nasus and veigar), but I do like play ADC as well.

I've gotten 2 "trolls" since new champ select came out, where they said they would ADC no matter what, and I've picked my ADC already. Of course they start taking CS and all, but that doesn't bother me. I've played pretty much every champ in the support role before and I know what I need to do to change my ADC game into a support/utility game.

Try some of these unorthodox ADC supports:

CDR / AP ashe with liandry's - Every W, you bleed them. W again (2.4 secs @ 40% CDR) they bleed for extra dmg now!
Runnans / Frozen Mallet / shred Kog - 850 range AoE slows, excellent Armor / MR shredder. Plus once they get in range, most the time they can't get away. They can't kill you as well since you are tanky and should have back up around you.
Trap / Zone Tanky Cait - get close, trap behind enemies, seal off their retreat path
Slow poke Ez - Frozen mallet / uhhh and that other Sheen + glacial heart item - long range slows are annoying. your E increases atkspd as well !!
Walista, where you focus on your W and the vision game. Frozen mallet works well in this build as well.

You also can CS side by side (just don't rage at each other) and both be relatively powerful kill lane. You can also roam for objectives, invade jungles, fast push turrets. Theres lots of ways non-meta can be played. Just keep a clear head, be creative and the game can still be very enjoyable !!.

EDIT: I won both of those games with a "troll" adc. One was a support tanky kog that shared CS, another was a support / CDR / AP ashe from the very beginning.

When I played Lulu top when Lulu was just getting out, about 50% of my games involved afks, people going "Lulu doesn't top, i'm going top," players feeding on purpose going "Lulu is trolling so its ok if i do it too," as well as "report Lulu troll," and, even if i'm going 10 and 0 in my lane, if bot lane is going 0 - 20 collectively they will go "You went Lulu top, you're such a troll, so bad, you have downs, autistic."

Just had a game where I called jungle and someone just says "ok" and then instalocks LeeSin jungle without saying anything. Forced me to play support (which while I can play, I don't do well when pissed off) and I faced Jhin and .

So not only did I have to fight a totally new champion while not in the best state of mind, I had to deal with a support. Burst and CC for days.

I reported him, but I doubt anyone else in the game will do the same (the enemy Pantheon even stated that calling a role doesn't guarantee it) and the LeeSin said that reporting for norms is stupid.

Fuck these people. I don't care if it's norms. I don't care if it's blinds. You do not steal someone else's role.

I didn't leash him. My top laner didn't leash him either. I don't care that we lost, I wasn't expecting to win anyway (I didn't expect him to gank bot anyway).
