Riot should lift perma bans, here's why...

Dislike all you want haters. This is my take.

We're all human beings, and those of us who played this game for a long time know that League sometimes brings out the worst in people, and if you disagree you're a hypocrite, Don't tell me that you never got angry in this game before. You know you did, we all have.

I fully realize that people with permanent bans had more than just a second chance. However it would be disingenuous to say that they deserve it. Do they really? If you invested over a thousand dollars on this game and if you lost everything just because you raged at an orianna support who was playing as adc. Is that really justifiable to get permanently banned because you want to speak out against a person who is ruining your rank game?

I understand that we live in a generation of special snowflakes and that everyone get's offended for everything. But is losing a 1000 dollar account really smart on Riot's behalf only because of some stupid outburst? Don't they understand what emotional stress it is to lose an account that you had for over 5 years?

Truth is, I messed up. It has been 5 months since the last time I got any warnings, however the 3 month rule was only a myth, and I thought that I climbed back up on the ladder and that's why I was not as afraid of losing my account. But now that I lost it, I am very broken inside.

I can't eat, I can't sleep and my grades are failing. Riot tribunal is unfair in my opinion and it should be replaced with longer chat bans, instead of taking away a persons hard work. But that's just my take. I am not going to insult Riot I just want to let them know how much they ruined my life with this ban.

Don't tell me that you never got angry in this game before. You know you did ;)

I have. I also controlled my actions so I wasn't throwing a tantrum.

I understand that we live in a generation of special snowflakes

And yet you're asking Riot to bend over backwards and take a risk by letting you back into the system, opening up the floodgates to all the other perma-banned players that should remain perma-banned. All because of your self-imposed addition.

It has been 5 months since the last time I got any warnings, however the 3 month rule was only a myth, and I thought that I climbed back up on the ladder and that's why I was not as afraid of losing my account.

And there is the argument as to why permanent bans exist. Obviously the only thing that could convince you not to be a douchebag to others was the fear of losing your account. You are, in essence, saying that without permanent bans you would likely not even have stopped to behave that way.

Oh and you want to talk about hypocrites? How is this for hypocritical: You are claiming that

we live in a generation of special snowflakes and that everyone get's offended for everything.

but you are appealing to Riot that they should unban you because you are "broken inside".

For the future: Getting angry in this game does indeed happen to everybody. But most people have the self control to not directly act out on that.

I find this line ironic in context, because while you're complaining that everyone else "special snowflakes" you're asking if you can be your own special snowflake and treated differently than everyone else. You want to be excused from your own actions, and you want more leniency than the system already gives you. It takes into account that everyone has bad days, and there are times where you get mad over the game, so for you to get permabanned you've got to be losing your temper beyond what's normal.

So is the basic idea of why you feel you deserve (yet another) second chance to reform? I mean you really aren't saying anything new that people who break the rules haven't asked for. This is suppose to be a punishment. It wouldn't feel like it if you got your account back from a permanent suspension.

With that said while yes we are humans and make mistakes at some point the person needs to take responsibility for their actions! Riot gives about 1-3 chances to improve. If you didn't learn from that why even bother? How many chances do you think you deserve? At what point is it your problem? Because it seems to me that you blame everyone else but yourself when you are the sole reason why you lost your account. No one forced you to break the rules.

It also has nothin to do with being a special snowflake. It's about being a decent human being. Riot assume most people who are playing won't act like a 12 year old who just realized what swearing is. Most people play games to relax and unwind, not to babysit some kid who throwing a tantrum because everyone isn't playing like some Pro-player!

At the end of the day the player should have the maturity to know how to act. Yes people might lose their cool, but you make it seem like one bad act will land you a permaban. It's not. Everyone is given a fair amount of chances to improve their behavior. Because of that Riot knows people are human. I've been playing this game for probably over 7 years, paid a large amount of money on skins, gifting, etc. I know that means I should follow the rules as to not lose all that content.

I had a Lee Sin support last game, he took cs, I lived with it, played really aggressive and tried to make a kill lane out of it.

We won. Hooray!

Yes they deserved it, yes it was justified.

I understand that we live in a generation of special snowflakes and that everyone get's offended for everything. The amount of money spent on an account has no bearing on suspensions & bans, and, in turn, no bearing on whether or not punishments will be lifted. You're given PLENTY of warning before a permanent ban is given unless you were EXTREMELY toxic. In either case, if you did not wish to get an account banned that you spent so much money on, you probably should have thought about that before you followed through with your actions.

Permanent bans are meant to remove those players from the game entirely. Riot does not want those players making new accounts or continuing to play the game. If they do that is their choice, but they are certainly not interested in giving you your account back.

Truth is, I messed up. It has been 5 months since the last time I got any warnings, however the 3 month rule was only a myth, and I thought that I climbed back up on the ladder and that's why I was not as afraid of losing my account. But now that I lost it, I am very broken inside.

Riot did not ruin your life, you are simply being punished for your own actions. Take this time to reflect on the choices you have made. Hopefully you can learn a lesson and make this a positive experience, rather than continuing to spite others for YOUR actions.

You keep talking like it was one outburst and you were done. You were given plenty of warning and plenty of chances to change your behavior. If you can't find a better outlet for your negativity then you got what you deserved.

It's time to grow up and realize that you messed up and face the consequences of that. Losing $1000 is painful, but hopefully the lesson sticks this time. Part of gaining maturity and losing the "special snowflake" mentality is realizing that your actions have consequences and choosing to accept those consequences.

It has been 5 months since the last time I got any warnings, however the 3 month rule was only a myth, and I thought that I climbed back up on the ladder and that's why I was not as afraid of losing my account.

And this is why Riot is silent on how long it takes an account to get back in good standing. Too many people would wait out their time and then go right back to being toxic. If you can't reform Riot would like you to leave.

I truly am sorry that this is having a negative effect in your life. I am. If it's effecting your grades you should really talk to someone, like your school counselor.

You're this upset over a free game? If your grades are falling and you can't eat because you lost your profile, you really need to take a look at how this game compares to the things that will actually be required for life.

Also, you're not a "1000 dollar account." You spent 1000 dollars (apparently), but that's not your money anymore. It's Riot's.

I honestly have no idea why people have no heart, and why they dislike topics like this. It's because most people are sociopaths that enjoy seeing people who invested money and time in this game lose everything. All because of some outburst.
