I Got Banned For Flaming My Friend As A Joke, Thanks Riot

Hi Riot, if you're reading this I think you've made a mistake So, I played a ranked game with my friend and we usually flame each other as a joke Again, this is all joking around nothing serious. So, I opened my client a minute later and apparently I got 14 day banned This is unfair as it was all joking around and misguided judgement. Please kindly remove my 14 day ban as this is unfair and a big misunderstanding.

We didn't even lose that game- I carried the game, got a triple and we won

**I don't think this a punishable offense in game and it isn't being dishonorable. This is absolutely ridiculous and it has happened to a few of my other friends as well **

You should do it in a private chat, not bring it into the game where everyone else has to deal with it.

Deep Terror Nami is correct: if you want to flame your friends as a joke, keep it to private whispers or another chat program.

Bringing toxic Behavior into the public chat is kind of like shouting it at a movie: no one will mind when you whisper quietly to a friend and no one else can hear you, but the moment you bring it into the public your behavior goes from being a personal joke to a disruptive experience for everyone forced to encounter it.

In short, you can be punished both for behaving toxically towards a player, and for exposing other players to toxic behavior, whether or not it was a joke aimed at someone else.

Alright you guys are saying I should've kept it private, If the people on our team didnt want to hear the crap we were saying to each other they could've just muted us instead of acting like kids and reporting me when I wasn't toxic to them specifically at all

I voted yes because it is a fair punishment since you failed to notice there were also 3 (or 8 if all chat) other players who are not your friend who had to read your toxic "jokes" to your friend who obviously did not appreciate your "jokes" since they reported you. Keep it private.
