Player Behavior & Moderation; the land no Mod dares to dwell

"I've been wronged!" The voice calls out, only to be met with silence.

The League player, perpetually tortured by the toxicity infected in his veins. He makes final, pitiful, desperate plea for help.

"Give me justice! Give me closure! Give me something to hold on to and not succumb to the taint of human error!"

But it was all for naught. The blue worded sages and their fist-inscribed leaders had long since left the land of "Player Behavior & Moderation."

Now devoid of sportsmanship and compassion, the League player roams, hoping to hurt others as much as he has hurt himself.

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

Hi there! I woke up too early this morning so I opted to sleep for a few more hours. But fear not, I'm alive... I think.

I've taken your feedback down that you think that our presence is dwindling, and I'm actively looking at positive contributors in Player Behavior & Moderation for potential roles within the Arbiters Program. If you have any additional feedback for us, we'd be very receptive to it, given that it's contructive (:

PS: Not a mod :x

Mods post here quite frequently. TheCurator himself posts on many threads throughout the day.

I promise none of the Arbiters or Moderators have "abandoned" this board.

I think the issue may be what you mean when you say Mods. The "Moderation" in Player Behavior & Moderation references Boards Moderation, not in-game punishment. That's the "Player Behavior" part of the title.

Arbiters and Rioters will answer responses about in-game Player Behavior while Visible Moderators (currently me) will answer questions about Boards Moderation.

I can say that I see Arbiters posting here regularly. People listening to their responses? That's hit or miss as some people seem to just want to vent, and that's fine to a degree.

Rioters post when they can, though it's not as prolific as in Help & Support which recently leveled up in terms of Riot presence.

I stick to questions about moderation that seem to actually want clarity and tend to avoid those that just want to rant. I also answer questions in GD with the same type of focus. This is mainly because I have other job duties when I'm on shift than just looking for threads to post in. So the busier we are behind the scenes, the less chance I'll post.

So for Mods posting, the less you see of me, the better in a sense because it means the rules are clear for players actively posting and the occasional mistake is either dealt with quickly or doesn't become a pitchforks & torches type conversation.

Tickets are for talking to Rioters. This board is where we can tell you 'yes, your chat is bad and you should feel bad.'

if you are looking for justice against other, Riot has put a pretty high priority on behavioral visibility. But that won't be after the new client is up and running smoothly.
