Hypothetically, what would happen if a player were to int in the LCS?

Would the player be disciplined?

If they did it enough games, yes they would. However, they would get swifty punished by being ejected by the team.

Yes, the player would indeed be penalized.

LCS Rule 10.1.1: The following actions will be considered unfair play and will be subject to penalties at the discretion of LCS officials. 10.1.1.1.4: Deliberately losing a game for compensation, or for any other reason, or attempting to induce another player to do so.

Also, if the player did it without the consent of teammates, they would be kicked from the team immediately, and could possibly be blacklisted from joining a team again.

They would lose all their potential contracts and rights to play in the competitive scene.

This is covered in player contracts iirc, and you'd get ejected from the tournament and the team(if your team is insane they may keep you, and probably lose most of their sponsers) and fined for breaking your contract.

Also everybody that worked with you would probably hate you so good luck getting another team to pick you up.

So basically, instantly ruin your career.

Who signs up for a pro team LCS game and decides to feed in front of a million people?

jpguy9023/26/2017, 1:27:22 AM1 votes

Yeah, especially if their was some shady gambling going on and they were throwing the game for that reason, I bet they would be banned from pro play.

That falls into the realm of match fixing which Im sure is taken very seriously
