Surrender votes need to be changed. Ideas?
Three times this week so far, yes, three.... I have been "forced" to play with toxic players while in a disadvantaged situation. This most recent game, our jungler clearly stated he had to leave for work and eventually left. We were already not coordinated as a team, behind in gear + kills, now down a player. Both surrender votes, 2 people (grouped together) hit "no."
One even said he kept me there because "we don't like you", "you're going to stay in game and suffer." Point being, these players know they're wasting time and are selfishly entertaining eachother.
There's no reason I should be forced to spend time and energy over a toxic match just because I now risk being banned for "afking" (which I didn't do these times but it sure was tempting to just leave)
I think there needs to be a change to the format. OR a way to make a valid report against players that do this. It's trolling, it's intentional. And it wastes an insane amount of time.
Note, not referring to disconnects where the whole team agrees to play 3v5 or 4v5. That's obviously different. This is when one person is purposely hitting no to extend a match that will obviously be lost, or when a duo does it for the same reason. I'm noticing this happen more and more in matches now that I've returned to play League in 5v5s. It also doesn't seem to be something you can 100% report in the report options once the game has ended, which leads me to also believe players purposely do this to abuse this system. But there should be a punishment for it. Chances are if they do it in one match, they'll do it in others.
Why do people make surrender votes so challenging? It's a system put in place to make the game easier to handle... Yet it seems to be doing the opposite.
