Instant permanent ban

Alright I already know this is gonna get down voted like crazy but I'm asking riot to hear me out as I've put in a support ticket already, which is as follows: Around a month ago I was given a false ban for two weeks that I contacted you about and the issue was resolved. The ban was revoked on day 1 so I never had a two week ban. Recently, I had bad luck in my match's with team mates who were giving up, and I frustratingly was toxic towards them which I own up to being wrong and accept punishment. However, I was given a permanent ban on my account, whereas others would usually get a two week ban when punishments are followed in order. I have proof that I was never given the 2 week ban from emails and I want to know why my account is being permanently banned instead of given a 2 week ban as warning. Ive read about other people's experience with this ban tier order and it is unfair that I get permanently banned on my account that ive spent so much time and money into when others get a two week ban first. I'd like to discuss a way to change my ban to a two week rather than permanent as I'd be devastated to lose my account that ive sunk so much of my life into. I'm not asking for my account back, I'm saying that an error has been made by giving me a permanent ban instead of a 2 week ban and praying that you will give me the 2 week instead.

TLDR: I was toxic and deserve a punishment which ill own up to, but how is it fair that other players are given a 2 week whereas they instantly jump to a permanent ban on me.

Before I start, let me say that I'm not a Riot Employee, just a knowledgeable player.

That said, it's not unprecedented for extreme behavior to result in a permanent ban out of the gate, but such a strict escalation in punishment is typically reserved for the worst of the worst offenses; death threats, revealing personal information about others, etc.

Depending on how toxic you were, a permanent ban could have been warranted. As it stands, though, you're leaving out a lot of information on your behavior, so it's not possible to really say what level of punishment would be merited. To that end, I have to ask; what toxic behavior were you punished for? If you have chat logs, those would also help.

So, it's important to go back to your ticket about your 14 day ban and read it carefully. Removing a punishment does not necessarily mean removing record of it.

That being said, if they truly did pardon you - as in remove the punishment and say it was in no way merited whatsoever, then they should reduce this punishment as well. If all they did was remove the punishment as a courtesy (ex: if you were hacked and they removed it but told you that it was still on your record), then you're probably out of luck.

All in all, it's best if you contact support ASAP, and reference the ticket number that you discussed your prior "punishment" (or lack thereof) in.

Honestly the lesson here is to never EVER under any circumstances give Riot money. They can, have, and will ban people, remove their honor levels, etc. for minimal offenses or often no reason at all.

Don't give this trash company money. Don't watch their pro games or give them Twitch views - that's just giving them ad revenue. As long as the people making the game leave glaring issues in it, they do not deserve a single cent from any of us.

So im new to lol, i just decided to look into this kind of thing because i noticed that although i get honors i haven't progressed anywhere from level 2 in the honor system. As far as toxicity goes i'm definitely not but i have responded in game to people saying that i don't know what they are doing etc. Never name called or anything like that. I bet i'm being reported by some overly sensitive or trolly players.

But as one comment stated it to the op about offending a special snowflake and riot not caring. I think that actually hits the nail on the head. This whole battling toxicity thing is kind of a joke or at least has gone to such an extreme that its turned into one. Just let people say what they want and ban them from chatting if they are "toxic" and ya you can make arguments about how that may be detrimental to communication in the game etc. But i've been playing games for a long time other mobas as well dota, hots and i dont buy it. It's a crutch that trolls use to game the system more often than not and frustrate normal players imo. If someone being banned from chatting is at a disadvantage they will fall in rank while the others record will even out over time.

I just think this whole perma ban thing for being toxic especially in mobas is a horrible idea and probably backfires at least as much as it works. Perma mute people if they are that bad and then at least supposedly they will suffer by losing games right. And you can still ping intentions, you actually don't need to talk at all really. Unless you're maybe super tryhard but i constantly see top tier players stream this game and just mute people and not care so. I dunno personally my safe space involves not having to worry about someone who takes something the wrong way or can't handle it at all if someone loses their temper and insults them. So catering to the ultra sensitive or straight up trolls who abuse these systems makes me uncomfortable and i would imagine the actual majority of people. Except most normal people don't even bother with forums etc so these systems are in place because of a vocal minority.
