Riot-Doublelift is consistently toxic and trash talks every LCS team live, why is he not punished?

He always brags everytime his team wins and he insults other teams in a passive-aggressive manner. He has done this for years, yet Riot overlooks it. Are pros not held accountable for their actions? Are the people who aren't pros held to a higher standard? I would love a Rioter's input.

Doublelift- paraphrasing but basically he said "Well, of course we won it was CLG, they're bad-- gg ez."

When you're talking in person with someone after the game, you're totally allowed to say the same things. Just don't type it in chat. Sounds like the same standard to me.

Actually, if you pay attention to the scene at all, players do get fined for the things that they say/do. IWD was not able to compete for a year and lost all his accounts due to in game toxicity. WXW was banned for a year for ELO boosting. Hai was fined 500 euros for flipping off another player. So yes, they are held accountable.

You also have to understand, he's not doing this in game, these are interviews and his own thoughts. It would be ludicrous if Riot banned you for saying "fuck you" to one of your classmates/coworkers.

What is your problem? I don't get it, you're always ranting about Riot and stuff ... but you still keep playing the game nearly on a daily base. If you don't like Riot or how they handle their game, just shut the fuck up and leave.

I'm guessing you've never played a sport? Trash talking is literally the best part of anything competitive. If you break up a pass, you best talk shit to the wide receiver. Otherwise, it doesn't count.

Trash talking/BM and toxicity aren't the same tho.

I love Doublelift's comments sometimes. Aphromoo does the same thing. Just how sports operate.

Anyway, last night TSM 2-0'd CLG, and in his interview Double said:

"Immortals wouldn't have gotten swept last split if they played seriously...and something about beating FreeLG."

These are funny comments. Not meant to insult or be toxic necessarily but just lighthearted BM. The comments put him on the spot (like whenever they play Immortals/CLG is gonna be hilarious) but nothing super serious.

Dlift is the ultimate trash talker. Rito wouldn't ever censor that. It gets them views on their vids.

Based on the majority of the comments here, then there should be thousands of perma-bans lifted. I'm just saying if Riot is going to permaban someone for calling someone else a "poopoo head" or saying the word "report" then Doublelift needs to be fined and/or punished to sit out a few games for as much as he trash talks.

Riot needs to stop discriminating against non-pro players and letting the pros get away with murder.

Is he doing it in game? No? Then it doesn't matter. I can say out loud, to myself and my friends, whatever terrible things I can come up with about everyone on my team or the enemy team, and it doesn't matter even in the slightest. As long as I haven't hit enter, typed anything out, and then hit enter again, I can say whatever I want.

Nope, you can get in trouble for calling people names out of game. I got a warning for calling someone an idiot on the boards. j/s

On the other hand, it was an interview, and many athletes trash talk before and after the game.
