PSA- Inting is more than just buying mobility boots running down mid.

Passive inting is almost NEVER penalized, especially in high elo. There are many players who will give up on a game, and just decide that it's in their best interest to do things such as

  • Taking buffs that they don't need from teammates.
  • Denying resources from teammates while refusing to group or apply pressure
  • Pushing out a lane repeatedly until they die

There are many more creative ways to int than this, but the vast majority of players who give up on a game, don't just sell all their items and repeatedly give kills mid lane. It's obvious to every player in the game when someone starts passive inting, but it goes unpunished pretty much 99% of the time unless all 9 players decide to report, which nobody really does.

Passive inting is just as bad as flaming, and games where someone gets at least 3 reports for Intentionally feeding/Negative attitude (3 of the 4 players teammates) should actually be VOD reviewed by someone who is in a similar division to the reports.

I understand it's a a lot more work at Riot compared to an automated system that flags keywords in chatlogs, but it just gives the impression that Riot only cares about inting if it happens on Imaqtpie's stream, and that they think flaming/negative attitude ruins a game more than someone who is trying to lose the game.

If you care about the game this needs to be taken more seriously.

You have clearly no idea what "inting" means lol

First off, the term is "intentional feeding" which basically defines itself. But for the sake of clarity, it means you're feeding the other team kills on purpose.

Given this, your post only outlines one scenario that is intentional feeding: Purposely overextending on a push over and over for the purpose of giving the other team a kill. Purposeful non-contribution or stealing minion camps/buffs out from under a teammate are more generalized forms of griefing. in neither case are you feeding kills to the other team, thus they cannot be classified as intentional feeding.

But you're right, these actions aren't acceptable, no matter how you classify them. Good thing there's a category for reporting players for griefing. And be sure to classify appropriately so the systems know what to look for.

You just really, really, really want the ability to ban your teammates that don't play the way you want them to.

This is a slippery slope and a horrible idea. This passive inting is technically identical some idiot going 0-5 in top lane. As I understand it, we don't punish players for being bad at the game. Passive inting is quite literally indistinguishable from someone that is a genuine idiot or noob.

It's tempting for me to support this since I get so many feeders in my ranked games and I'd like to see them gone. But it's really unjust to punish players for poor play.
