Can false accusations be punished?

In all the time I've played this game few times have I encountered trolls or toxicity directed at me (fortunately), however, my last match (ranked flex), I found a troll in champ select. I got mid and declared my intention: Ahri. The jungler, Lee Sin (first ban), out of the blue, decided to ban Ahri. I asked him why the hell he did that and he accused me of ''knowing'' me and called me an afker (which I never do unless my PC or the Internet die). I was very upset for such idiocy. We proceeded into the game anyway, we played, we lost. I did report him for ''verbal harassment'' and explained in the box why I was reporting him, but I don't know if such false accusations can be punishable. Looking at his match history he seems to be a troll or at the very least a very moody jerk. Why do people like that even exist?...

Are actions like his punishable?

False accusations won't result in you being punished, so really they should just be ignored. If they are lobbying for people to report you for that, though, that is definitely harassment and is punishable.

Not likely.

You won't be punished for not leaving a game. The system is well aware of false reporting, which makes up a majority of reports.

Falsely reporting someone is not punished.

Report. Leave your comment. Move on.

It's unlikely. No one has made a thread talking about getting banned for false reports/accusations here in years.

If you've criticized the team at all, wanted to ff at 20 or even responded to a teammate in the next or last 5 games, that's all it takes. This system is that bad.
