Self Mute

Hey all, especially RIOT,

I have an idea that I strongly believe will help toxicity, or players trying not to be toxic in the community.

My idea is a self mute toggle that would be changeable in client settings ONLY, and NOT changeable in-game if you have it toggled off before a match starts.

My other idea similar to this is a "mute myself for rest of game" button, which of course would be in the in game settings. The purpose of this button would be say if you are getting super frustrated and you just don't even want the temptation of telling your teammates off. You hit the mute myself til end of game button and you can no longer type.

I myself am a super competitive player and I am super vocal in chat. And have been chat restricted multiple times.

I have gone into games telling myself ok just don't talk to your teammates just play your best. And then something tilts me and I forget and yell at teammates to stop feeding... we've all been there. And I believe that this idea would help players like me who don't want to be toxic, but that the report automation system hands out chat restrictions to.

Let me know what you guys think?? I don't see any down sides.

So you want to change the ability to remove ally chat to only be accessible out of game.

Sorry, if you can't control an impulse to go into settings mid game to enable Ally chat again just to flame; then I feel that is on you.

They just...added...an option...to mute...allies.

If you need more than that, a team-based game may not be for you.
