Lately I have been thinking. I may get a little bit tilted and salty in the game sometimes, but is giving someone pointers so bad to do?

The egotistical and toxic people of this community have truly caused me to lose all hope in this game.

I believe that no more is to be said here, I feel as if my point is more than valid enough, but if an explanation is needed here for my simplistic rant then I shall offer one to the best of my ability.

Giving pointers is one thing....but how you are giving it is another.

"WTF Jarvin stop dying! You need to stay by your tower!" vs "Hey Jarvin just stay by your tower and farm safe we will try to be up to gank soon" See the difference? Both are giving pointers on him needing to stay by the tower, but one is super rude and toxic and the other isn't.

If someone is tilted enough, giving them pointers can make it worse. It's a fine line you gotta ride. Maybe they saw something differently then you did so they reacted one way when you think they should have done something differently. Sometimes keeping pointers to yourself can make a tilter less tilted.

The pointer thing is really a matter of how you approach the situation. Some people want tips and others don't. If they don't, you shouldn't force it onto them. Additionally, is it actual constructive advice or is it "no duh" advice like don't die.

I think saying somones doing somthing wrong is good and you should point it out since it would help that player in learning or you could be wrong and learn somthing yourself like If I say building that item does not work and you should build somthing else too me that is not toxic and it only helps.

Its a competitive, multiplayer game. People have been like this in all other multiplayer competitive games too, this shouldn't be new

What led me to post this in the first place was a game that I had done many hours ago. Keep in mind, I was tilted in this game after all (when doesn't a game of League tilt you every once in a while), and we had a Heimerdinger getting bullied by a Volibear top lane and was consistently getting camped by the enemy Warwick. I was playing Talon mid lane against an Irelia (go figure) and our jungler had refused to help him out by ganking or even counter-ganking his lane whatsoever. I told him to stay behind his tower and farm safely on top of building more defensively by rushing a magic pen item since he was building magic resist but our jungler, a wild Xin Zhao had to make a big issue about the poor guy feeding. I tried my best to give him pointers, but our jungler did not help the situation in the least bit. I was being all calm and everything until this man started putting in his own input, which ended up irritating me and everyone else to the point of a full-on reporting session in post-game chat. I ended up getting a two-week ban after this situation had occured, all because I wanted to both defend Xin Zhao previously because our AD Carry banned his jungle pick (he intended to pick Jax) purposefully in champion select and for trying to defend Heimerdinger against the Xin Zhao and the Ezreal who took our their toxicity on both him and me. I completely blew my top off in this game as my punishment card shows very clearly, and I realize that I have done wrong by not muting everyone except our innocent Morgana beforehand.

I know my punishment was justified, but even my previous suspensions were only due to asking for ganks from my jungle and mid laners, giving people constructive criticism with barely any toxicity whatsoever. I am trying my best to reform myself at this game, I really am, but seeing people such as this Xin Zhao and this Ezreal bully someone all because they had a bad game really adds more fuel to the fire.
