Honestly i don't think your bans are unjustified, here's why-

I've found myself tilted before, and have been known to be fairly toxic. granted i'm trying to reform and be less toxic, so i mostly just mute all instead of argue in chat. anyway, i've said some really toxic stuff in chat before and been reported a few times, but have still yet to be chat banned, or not been able to play. most of the post you all make, showing your "chat log", i honestly think you crop and edit, and take out all the truly toxic things you say, then when you post it, it looks like you were innocent and wrongly accused, etc. if i'm wrong, i'm wrong, but considering the things i've gotted away with saying in game, i can only imagine what it takes to get banned...

Yes and no - whether you get banned or not depends on whether you get reported, so it could be that what you said was punishable, but no-one in that particular game remembered or cared enough to report you for it.

A large majority of people who complain about their bans come in here with the wrong attitude though - they usually either shift the blame ("I got banned because top was toxic" or "I got banned because bot was premade") or they think that they can be as negative as they want as long as they don't use any keywords ("tell me the word that got me banned") rather than looking at their behaviour throughout the whole game. Most of the time they know they were toxic, but disagree that they should be punished for it.

The system punishes people based on consistency x severity. Meaning someone can be punished for having 1 game of extreme toxicity or 100 games of consistent mild toxicity.

In the cases of toxicity not severe enough to get someone punished right away, that game is saved within their behavioral history and will be part of their punishment later.

Think of it like a leveling system. Everytime you are toxic you work towards the punishment threshold, once one pass that level, they get punished.

Essentially people don't really "get away with it", there's just low visibility with the system cos the reform card only shows 1-5 recent games as examples of unacceptable behavior.

it takes consistency to get banned.

these chat logs are representative of what happens roughly every time they lose a game, and sometimes when they're winning too.

If people want to crop their chat logs for these boards, all they really stand to gain is a few pity upvotes on the forums of a game they're banned from. Sad use of time, and not really worth worrying about the few people who would bother to do it. Riot has the real logs, and it's not like the forums have any power to revert a ban.
