LOSE LESS LP IN RANKED IF YOU HAVE AN AFK

Its common sense. Its an easy fix. But Riot still gives massive LP loss to people with afks. Why is Riot hurting the good players in their community, more than afks? People who smurf, or can avoid a measles chat restrict will afk to (prove a point). Why does riot punish good players the same as afkers?

he issue lies in the abuse of the system

if you are given loss prevention or lose less LP whatever the case is then people will abuse it.

someone does badly and feeds, well this player ( kindly agrees , LMAO flamed into is more likely) will afk/dc and then the team instead of losing and losing lp they get a lost prevention

the way it is now it effects everyone the same, every one deals with the player afk/dc and loses the LP so if every one deals with it, its fair overall.

yes someone can in theory have this happen more then another random person but its a safe estimate that this only comes up in 8-10% of games. so over 100 games if this happen 8 times and you still win 52 games you have a positive win rate and you climb.

your climb/rank isnt going to be that dramatically effected by 8% of games over the course of a season . it wont make the difference from being silver ( or lower) to diamond.

either you can climb or you cant.

there is a reason why the same people end up diamond + every season. they are better. regardless of meta, strategy, afk/trolls/ inters

A better iteration would be make all (or most) of the LP loss shouldered on the one who AFKs (or shared by multiple AFKs) while those who stayed lose none (or less) LP that scales with the % of the game they were AFK for (variable weighting depending on stage of the game afked)

yadayada abuse yadayada broken system. It's not going to be 100% perfect but it addresses a serious problem in lower elos. For those worried about people queuing up with a "dump account" (afks if game is going to be lost) that account is going to elo blasted so hard in just a few games it'll not be able to play with the other accounts. In my eyes having some sort of system in place is much better then no system at all.

Also can we get a fix on /remake? Rather then having a non-connecter as the prerequisite atleast make it not leaving base. Too many times was there someone who just connected and afked the rest of the game for god know what reason.

yadayada abuse yadayada broken system. Again, not going to be 100% but the games saved because of this is going to outweigh the amount of games that were exploited because of this.

Not to mention it would be simple to mark accounts that exhibit behaviors of exploitation and taking action against them.
