"A rioter was toxic, so can I have my account back?" Come see Riot's answer....

So you've heard that Daniel Z Klein was toxic on twitter. Good for you.

Riot's policy about behavior in-game has always been that other people's behavior in-game doesn't justify your retaliations against them. What do you think they will say about you asking if behavior outside of the game justifies that behavior in-game? The answer is and always will be, no.

Toxicity in-game is punished because it's disruptive to the game and runs counter to the purpose of the game, IE for people to have a fun, cooperative and competitive experience. It's not even about whether or not it's hypocritical or morally acceptable to say that kind of thing to another person. It's just plain disruptive to the game, and you already know this.

Stop hijacking a legitimate issue for your own selfish reasons. Your behavior in-game had nothing to do with someone else's behavior anywhere. And the people who care about DZK's tweets are sick of you trying to use their outrage for your sleazy attempts to get yourself unbanned.

Yet Rito employees are sexist, so Rito's response is to punish the male playerbase that attended PAX.

Rito needs to hold it's own employees to a higher standard than the one they're pushing onto the playerbase.

Id argue that if your fun is ruined because some random internet dude flamed you then you kind of have a fragile mental. I'd also argue flame even increases the competitive experience, just look at Korea, its the most toxic region and the most competitive. You can also be cooperative while flaming.

I do think most of the "Unban" shitposts are troll or sarcastic. I think Everyone knows that ingame toxicity and rioter behavior have nothing To do with each other.

Considering that most "toxic players", the ones banned for hate speech are banned inadequately to their offence, it's a good time to discuss if you should brand people homophobes for misusing a homophobic slur while having your employees promoting inequality and intolerance in a real, serious way. And that is considering that you should actually ban real homophobes and racists from playing videogames - which I don't think you should.

Permabanned people might not be very smart, but are harmless overall. Daniel Z Klein is freaking horrifying. I read what he writes and I am scared on genetic level. He speaks like a not very high-functioning psychopath.

It's less to do with hijacking the conversation for selfish reasons and more to do with comparing a Company Representative's words towards the playerbase to that of any toxic player in league. It's the person's way of saying "I was just as toxic as he was and got permabanned. Why is nothing happening to him and how can you still stand as if you have moral grounds left to tell me how I should act in game anymore?"

Although you are 100% right, these guys don't deserve their accounts back and are going about this conversation all wrong by basically asking for their own toxic doings to be forgotten.

it doesn't even matter at this point, you could say anything that shits on riot or makes fun of riot and it will get upvoted, and frankly as long as riot doesn't say anything I'm ok with that

"the people who care about DZK's tweets are sick of you trying to use their outrage for your sleazy attempts to get yourself unbanned."

You do understand there is significant overlap between those two groups, right? If you empathize with a banned or punished player, can you see how this situation is like a slap in the face?
