Akali causing toxicity?

So I was in a game of one for all and my friends who are normally as chill as the north pole, and once I banned Akali (cause we already played her and I wanted to play someone else since I found her new playstyle kinda "meh") they started flipping the heck out, and I've had people dodge because I ban Akali in one for all as well even tho no one says a thing beforehand, why is the community so toxic over this one rework being removed from the scene compared to previous reworks?
