Hello! So, Recently I had a problem with people flaming me because of my nationality. I know it may sound rare, but I am from Poland, just playing on NA. People after hearing im polish decide to "raid" me with negative slurs about polish people being "R%%%%%s" and "Douchebags". Can anyone please explain this to me?
Nationality has nothing to do with being good or bad at the game. I'm Lebanese and when I was talking Arabic to someone from the enemy team 2 players from my team began with stuff like "C4" and "bombs" and other nonsense. I've seen Polish players who are even better than me and those who are worse. Same from my country Lebanon.
Now that's the gameplay side. As for the player behaviour side...well no server/region is an angel.
EUW/EUNE are known to have extremely toxic communities.
So they probably thought you were from there.
You guys have very bad reputation on EUNE dating back to season 1 or 2. Feeding, troling, flaming - things your nation is famous for. There are still posts about it which Rito hasbt deleted about PL community. All of them are negative. You dont hear complains about czech, romanians etc on EUNE. Just about polish. As one decent polish player said: Thrash poles play on EUNE, decent ones escaped to EUW.
You see, I play on EUNE on a daily basis and SOME polish players like to unreasonably insult everything and everyone because they feel like they are always right. Speaking on their part, it's kinda stupid to consider some polish players bad just because you had a bad experience with some of the rotten ones. People think that all polish players ruin the game and that they should have a region dedicated to them and I tend to disagree since there are more good ones than bad ones, the good ones just don't make themselves public.
People fixate on things to fuck with. They could do so with any nationality.
How exactly are they finding out that you're Polish? Doesn't seem like something that would come up organically.
Yeah, it doesn't really have to do with nationality. Some people just like to hate on anything. I've had various people speak in all kinds of languages back and forth (team or enemy) and every now and then someone will have a problem and be like "speak english you * insert their choice of derogatory term here*" or theres been ones the just say things like "you're a stupid american!!!" Cause clearly only americans are on na /s
So people just hate on whatever they can.
There are just dumb people who find reasons to bully people. It’s nothing against your nationality, just dumb people harassing you.

Im sure there are some brilliant polish minds out there. All the ones I've met have an oddly idiotic quality to them. Granted I havent met many.
i think it's just anti polish sentiment because of plexit
and I mean there's definitely some propaganda from the last 300 years about poland and its people
