Would a gaming mouse hotkey for attack move count as 3rd party programs?

Gonna keep this short and sweet, I recently got a fancy new gaming mouse for christmas from someone very special to me, one of those ones with all sorts of extra buttons to help with the more mechanical side of gaming. I have been thinking of uses for it and one of the first things that comes to mind is using one of these keys to do attack-move for me, meaning it would essentially turn 2 key presses (shift + Rclick) into just one button I would have to press.

Would this fall out of line with the summoners code? I am excited to try my new gift, ive never owned anything like this, however I am wary of getting punished for essentially taking shortcuts.

Attack-move is one function, it's just that by default it uses a modifier key (shift/alt/ctrl) but you can already bind it normally to any single key you want. You can put it on whatever button on your mouse that you wish. I have mine set to F3 which I've placed on a thumb button on my own gaming mouse.

If you are trying to place two functions on a single keypress such as W and 1 into a single key so you can wardhop instantly, that is different (and disallowed).

You can use any key/button that you want as long as League allows you to key-bind it in the interface.

'Can I get banned for using a gaming mouse to play a game'

^and people are actually telling you yes? Funniest thing I've seen all day.

No, you can't. You're absolutely fine. What league is refering to as '3rd party programs' are actually applications that interfere with league's visual interface or input key commands without your explicit intent. If you intend to press Shift and R it doesn't matter what button/buttons that goes to. It just matters that you pressed it.

best thing to do is to leave it on the street for cars to run over.

the program I use to see my flipping mouse when im playing in 4K doesn't so I don't see why it would

it doesn't modify the game files in any way and doesn't interact with the game in any way too, it interacts with your mouse/keyboard input

it's not detectable so you shouldn't care

generally games allow mouse macros, and can't stop them anyway

Very likely. You're combining what should be two keys into one.

Thank you guys for all the advice, I can rest easy now. I doubt I'll get much use out of it anytime soon anyway, I have a difficult time using it as my older mouse was much smaller and lightweight, its awkward to use until i get used to it and anytime i move my hand to press a key it ends up throwing my aim off.

that kind of thing should be fine, because it's 1 action that's just defaulted into 2 button presses (you could technically change it to whatever key on a normal keyboard if you wanted)

So long as you aren't setting up two actions (like place a ward -> hopping to it for instance like Nami already said) to be on a single key you should be good
