a different view on the NB3 incident

i think we all know now what hapenned and who is in the wrong(everyone involved rofl)

so lets use this as an opportunity to shape up the rules and report system(yes i have been calling for this for a while now)

i have said already riot need a better way for people to know what they are doing is wrong and many people agree that the punishment tiers and perman ban factor are too inconsistent in handing out FAIR PUNISHMENTS!

sry to break it to you riot but your automated system needs an update! and you need more detailed explanations on what is and not punishable, this vague and general respect X concept and youll be ok is not enough ex: we see how normals ranked and high ranked games have different view on such things and id really you can do something in blind but it's reportable once you get diamond + ,PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW AND IT'S YOUR DUTY RIOT TO TELL THEM SINCE YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE!

i hate how you punish people for thier ignorance but you are the reason they are ignorant on this matter!

a list of my ideas:

for inting/feeding/griefing: this should be only one section aka disrupting gameplay change it to Xdays without being able to queue up ranked for ranked offenders...since the stress level in there is way too high and human reactions are ...HUMAN REACTIONS WE ARE NOT ROBOTS WHO CAN DECIDE NOT OR HOW TO TILT ON COMMAND!

there should never be a ban without a human having seen the games and then when handing out the ban, offer help and advice on how to correct the offender's behavior ex: i watched 5 games you were reported for feeding and in all 5 i saw you dancing with the enemy and not helping your team win by doing X + X + X, this is the reason we are handing out this punishment and if you would like to tell us why you acted this way and why it's not acceptable contact support here+ link

should start with 1 DAY ban as a ''wake up call'' then you can escalate to 14 days and more severe if behavior doesnt change, but 14 day ban as a ''warning'' is pretty harsh especially if you got baited or just didnt know what you did was not ok

for afk/disconnect....remake need to work better and be implemented in aram!

first off the vote needs to pop up by itself so many people are unaware they could remake and dont even start the vote

30 sec window is really short( should make it until 5 minutes when the player will get booted, that makes a 2 minute window to see if the player is coming back or obvioulsy not and remake best choice)

if someone connects back then disc again without moving or buying dont cancel the remake option! this is the worst thing RN

idk how it's checked...but if a champion hasnt gone out of the fountain remake should be possible... i had people saying as soon as game loaded: something came up during loading i need to go let's remake...but his champ moved a bit and we could not remake! so how many people waited in base thinking we were gonna remake and gave 3-4 minutes of free laning to the enemy?

the other report features seem to be ok...apart from the botting programs infesting the game...too many smurfs buying a botted account and using it to bully low skilled players or rush to plat+ in ranked

i just hope those people lose their account, i flag as many as i can but weirdly they never get banned, some i see humans playing with some still bot farming, i seen a lvl 82 bot program! and believe me i dont make mistakes about bot programs, ive got a whole checklist to make sure it's one! they are actually so easy to spot but since dodging is the only option(once you spotted him in earlier game), you end up HAVING TO PLAY WITH THEM ONCE YOU DODGED TOO MUCH! pretty much like trolls, oh no not this guy...i just dodged twice either lose or wait 30 minutes ugh

and finally: no matter who asked for a review of the game or for what or to who.....EVERY PLAYER IN A REVIEWED GAME WHO COMMITTED A PUNISHABLE OFFENSE SHOULD BE PUSNIHED AND NOT ONLY THE PERSON FLAGGED this would reduce the amount of ''i got punished and he didnt'' as people will know if a person did something worse then them in a game and they got punished then the other guy had it too! weirdly i only ban stalk bots, not humans ;p i dont hold grudges but am intrigued at how long riot let's bot account play before they ban wave them ;p

post your suggestions and improvments, maybe one day riot will realise the way people abuse their report system has to stop

Your definitions use "gamer slang". This is not okay.

if we're to define rules then the rules should be defined in standard language. No jargon. No slang. No legalese.

Each phase of the game needs a distinct set of rules that relate to the mechanics presented. If I can ban my ally's champion, but that ban will get me into trouble then that's a conflict between player interaction and what's expected. In this scenario The options are to either allow the banning of an ally's champion or to remove the ability to ban an ally's champion.

same thing with choosing a lane. If it's the system that determines my lane for me then fine, but don't encourage me to go to other lanes just to get into trouble. If it's the player's choice then don't have the client choose my lane. There are better ways to indicate what lane a player has chosen to play instead of enforcing the meta through "top, jungle, mid, support, bot" autofill lane matchmaking.

hell you could even encourage players to play the lane they're given by granting them an XP bonus while in their assigned lane just like how junglers are given jungle specific items and summoner spells that grant bonus XP, Gold, HP, and Mana regen.item 1039summoner 11

next each game mode will need its own distinct set of rules and requirements and gameplay functions to encourage proper play. Does a solo player have the same rights as a duo team in solo queue? does a 3 man in flex have more precedence than a 2 man in flex.

does twisted treeline require 1 player to play jungler? does jungle have to take smite? how many people can have teleport? does the support have to be a support class character? Do I have to talk to my team? Do I have to stay if the surrender vote fails? Am I allowed to surrender? Do teammates have to help me retreat/attack? How many times can I use an emote in a row? Can I take my teammates hovered pick in champ select if I get first pick? Does it matter if I play AP zed? Can I play support without buying an income item? Do I have to summon herald near the enemy turrets? Do I have to provide assistance to my allied jungler for their first camp? Do I have to try to hit an open nexus? Is trying to trick enemies into chasing you through the jungle instead of farming gold and xp punishable?

These questions and so many more are the result of poor game design and unspoken rules.

“there should never be a ban without a human having seen the games and then when handing out the ban”

That’s not a realistic expectation at this point. There are thousands, probably tens of thousands of reports made each day.
