Just a question .. Does this go away after a specific amount of time?
I just personally don't have time to wait 20 minutes...im sure no one cares, but it'll probably be a year or so until i can get all 5 of those queues out of the way.
If I don't play for a while, will they vanish? Or if I come back in a few months, will it still be there?
You can't wait it out, you must play the required 5 matches to work them off. Repeated low priority queues afterward will increase the timer (20 minutes per match each) and another 5 games, but playing enough games without leaving will reduce what tier you're on so that future penalties are smaller, or if your account is in near perfect standing you may get no penalty at all.

No it doesnt work that way. In order to get rid of it, is to actually play games and finish them. Remember this is a punishment. If you didnt want the consequences why did you leave your games?
