Why should I still lose LP in a ranked for someone else trolling?

I'm not sure if someone has already made a post like this. But why is it that when I'm in my promos or just any ranked game, I get someone on my team that trolls, feeds the entire time and we end up losing badly. So I still lose 10-13 LP for literally that reason. And the other team gains LP because of that. I've been on both sides of the team so I understand the frustration. And the other frustrating thing is, Riot will come back and say, "that person will get a suspension or a ban or what not," but I STILL LOST that LP?!

Riot should implement something based off if someone trolls or rage quits, no one gains or loses LP. I'd rather have that then the other. What are your thoughts?

On the flipside, would you be willing to lose the LP you gained if they found the enemy has been proven to have intentionally disrupted gameplay?

It would feel especially bad if the punishment happened 2 weeks after that game, you just finished and won a hard fought game in your promos, thought you'd be going up a division but then the game demotes you back down cos now you lost LP due to the enemy found guilty of inting (from 14 days ago) in the middle of the game.

It works until you spend the first 20 minute of a game gaining an advantage and control of the game....and then someone on the other team rage quits and you get nothing for your efforts.

There is no way for this to have any kind of practical application..

How would the game determine this before LP is handed out?

I think many people forget this is a team game.. and like any other team game, an individuals performance in said game can not excuse the loss..

Thats like a football team trying to get a loss erased from their record because the running back did not have a good game..it is plain and simply never going to happen.
