What do I do when my adc becomes toxic

So I just had a game where I played Shen support with a Xayah adc we were doing good but when the roaming stage came she started to lose it

TLDR: Had a trash adc that used me as a scapegoat for all her deaths if an adc acts like this what do support generally do?

She started telling me what I should buy, who I should taunt etc etc questioning everything I did that was not in her favor and this pissed me off, I am not just some Pokémon that u can control I am a PLAYER if u die it is not my fault, yes I can save u from with my shield but if u die it’s not always the supports fault

Literally this happened in the game I use my abilities (Q+W) to save someone from dying and they get away but then the enemy kept chasing us I (Shen) have no energy with my abilities on cool down after that save so then me and my team run back to the safety of our towers guess what Xayah SOMEHOW dies and guess who she blames it on surprise surprise THE SUPPORT ME realize I had cool downs with no energy no heal runes guardian is down etc. she goes like “UGH WHY DIDNT U USE UR ABILITIES TO SAVE ME THIS SHEN IS THE WORST” Like stfu why is this position called support because that role is team support not ADC’S FUCKING SLAVE.

Even when a support does bad telling them that they are trash doesn’t make them play any better ur just rubbing salt in the wound this also goes for every role too

So if my adc is being toxic what is the best thing to do as a support?

All feedback is appreciated thank u for taking ur team to read :)

The second they start flaming you, mute them, pingmute them, and emotemute them. If they can't be bothered to communicate well, your best option is to close them off and keep playing.

And, of course, once you reach the post-game lobby, report them for Harassment/Verbal Abuse.

What I do is recall and ask the other lanes if they want a support to help them. This may sound toxic, but hear me out:

  • The support isn't the ADC's babysitter. Your job is to support the entire team, not just babysit the carry.
  • Let's say top accepts your help. Now your top laner can either start walking all over their opponent, or (if their opponent is someone like Darius) they can turn the tide. Sounds like a win to me!
  • It will allow you to stay relevent. The support's income is based on the support item and getting assists. If the carry's whining is causing them to play poorly, then you're not getting assists, now are you?
  • The carry started to harass you, and now you're gone. You stood up for yourself and are now helping dominate another lane, while the carry has a lot of time out of lane to think about their actions. This may seem toxic, but since when is leaving the meta toxic?

Also, report them after the game. That kinda goes without saying lol.

I'd leave and gank top/mid and help the jungler.

That kind of adc isn't going to carry anyways so might as well get someone else fed.

You mute them.

Mute, if hes technically worth supporting continue to do so, if not, then roam.

Like the others said, I mute them. If they're also doing poorly and I have a champ that's capable of roaming well I'll try to go mid to help out too some, and just kind of leave them to their own devices as it were. Lets them get some exp back and lets me actually be useful to someone who might appreciate it.

I generally just figure they're doing bad and they don't want to blame themselves so they take it out on the next easiest person, which is usually their support or jungler XD

I generally tell the other team, mute the adc, and support whoever's the most fed on the team.

If you have a roaming support like Bard then go help other lanes. If you have something immobile like TahmKench, then I'm afraid all you can do is mute that person

some people are a**holes , just dont let it get to you, try your best. if you feel it was over the line and worthy then report and move on. chances are you will never see that player again

tell her to stfu then mute.

You do nothing. Say nothing. If everything they say or ping becomes irrelevant or bothers you, mute it. No point in having them typing to you if it doesn't move the game forward. Don't respond, don't react, don't explain. Just play to the best of your ability. Of course, there'll be some personal grudges due to the insults but try to overlook it. Look at the bigger picture. Winning.

You can seek out vengeance after the game by reporting them. Because in the end, that's where it hurts most.
