Doesn't banning people make the new player experience worse?

If someone gets banned, they are going to be mad and then make a new account. They are probably going to take out their frustration on new players, ruining the new player experience (Unless they purchase a pre-leveled level 30 account. This would make the new player experience better but is something that riot is explicitly against)

Is this something that Riot wants to happen? Just curious

That assumes that they create a new account instead of going elsewhere, which some portion of the banned players do.

I don't know about you but if my account was ever banned from league I'd probably be done with it. There are other MOBA games out there that are also good. I'm not about to re-grind buying champions again after I've spent such a long time getting enough IP/blue essence to unlock all champs.

Starting a smurf shows you how toxic it is down there (I recently started leveling my smurf so I can duo with a friend without it having an impact on my main) HOWEVER smurfs and accounts created by banned players (which basically are smurfs as well) get put into a seperate queue.

Actual new players play against actual new players.

New player accounts almost always are subject to intense scrutiny. If you don’t have a history of behaving well and start out toxic, that account is usually punished very quickly, quickly escalating to a ban

I’m career silver player, I don’t mind, I play for fun, but this season I made Gold 2 at the peak. Anyways, I created another account to play with my little brother who was new. I didn’t think twice about it, as I said, silver I feel like I’m not even a “smurf.” But I get the most flame from people calling me a smurf if I win Lane, snowball, whatever. But I always find that funny. If you’re flaming me for being a smurf, it usually seems like they know a lot about the game generally, which would mean they’re probably a smurf too... but new players are enjoyable, and if I smash a true level 14 player, it usually turns into a learning experience. (Again I’m not trynna act pro, I give them tips and what little knowledge I have as a career sliver recent gold lol) so I feel like generally flame isn’t directed at truly new players. Maybe I’m wrong, just my experience

2 theories.

Riot wants toxic people to leave. However, they physically can't make them leave.

Riot wants toxic people to purchase RP and create a constant stream of "new players".
