Vent post from a Support Main who is TIRED of Toxic team mates

Hey all!

I used to love League of Legends, but I'm nearing the end of my wits. As a support main, I'm more or less at the whim of my carries. I spend money on an internet cafe, and I'll win a game or two. Then the next time I log in, I'm paired with absolute potato teams. I'm not talking like people who are just having a bad game, I'm talking about flamers, toxics, trolls, inters, people who don't know how to use their champs. And what happens? I lose the next 3. I have to play all those games again just to reach even. And the cycle goes on.

Take for instance today. Had an inting Trundle top. Then I got sworn at in champ select because I didn't want to role swap. That resulted in their duo flaming me the ENTIRE match. And guess who got chat restricted? Yeah not them. No no no. ME. I GOT CHAT RESTRICTED. I even muted all and because their premade decided to make me the source of their problems, I GOT PUNISHED.

You know how hard it is to stay calm and play when you're CONSTANTLY encountering TOXIC as all HECK players. And how demoralizing it is to spend money on internet to play a game, and then have a 50/50 chance that you'll lose. I'm playing the support role because no one else wants to, and I feel like I'm powerless. Even if we win lane, we still often lose the game. Take the latest game. 0/0/9 in lane. We got wiped by 20mins due to everyone else feeding 5 kills a piece.

I can't take it ANY MORE. First it was the powerlessness of the support role. Fine. Then it was the toxics who flamed me or others and having to basically play babysitter to these babies who think it's okay to flame others over the internet. Fine. THEN I get chat restricted and stripped of my honour from reports made by a duo that was flaming me from champ select, while THEY GET NO PUNISHMENT. Nah, that's it. No way. Final straw.

I'm forced to find ADCs or team mates that know how to play and only duo with them. Or roll the dice and act like I'm a saint to not let the community break me down. CAN NOTHING be DONE about the toxic players in Oceania??? Like put advertisements out saying "Hey, do you int or flame your team mates? Maybe ranked isn't for you. Have you tried bots or aram?" or "Do you actually know how to work with your team mates? No, really think about it. Keep thinking... Ah ha, knew it, go play normals haha." Or just give me a God damn link to a Rioter and I will FLAG all the games I have where the team is toxic. And DO SOMETHING about IT. Not to me because their duo makes more reports. ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE CHAT AND THE GAME AND DO SOMETHING.

I'm taking a long break. Excuse my language, but FCK your shtty game and community. You want people to play support? Try and make it a role that isn't a glorified baby sitter for edge lords with god complexes. The number of times I've had to talk people out of inting or afking because a jungler messed up a gank, or an invade didn't go well. "Ah well, we are down 1-0, time to pack it it". Said Faker. Never. Try making ranked less than 50/50 whether I'm getting paired with someone who knows what 'freeze lane' is or when you use heal or not to stand in minion waves and 1v1 the enemy adc, OR whether I'm being paired in lane with a LEGITIMATE POTATO. A steaming, baked potato, that doesn't freeze lane, doesn't understand what a BF sword advantage is, that dies while I'm in base after a silly engage and then FLAMES ME FOR NOT MAGICALLY WIPING THEIR BUTT AND SAVING THEM.

AND how about un chat restricting me. Or at least making honour levels faster. Because this is TWICE this has happened from salty duos. Check my logs, I already HAD everyone muted my last game. I know how key comms are, and I HAD EVERYONE MUTED. Not just chat, but pings. God forbid I miss a hook and get question-pinged to oblivion, but hey it's okay to feed the enemy team to an early win. FFS I was Silver 1 this afternoon, and like a gambler I said "No surely the next game will have a good team." And YOU KNOW WHAT. FCK NO IT DIDN'T. It was an EVEN WORSE team. I'm nearly Silver 3. I was Gold last season. I'm not a noob. I know how to support. I've been doing it at a good level for years. Pair me with a non-toxic, kind adc and team, and I'll win all my games nearly. So don't come at me with that "_Looks like the only asshle is you and you're probably bad hurr durr_" rubbish. But yeah, there's only so much a support main can take. How much hatred for other players and loss and TOXICITY I CAN TAKE.

So yeah. That's me. I've lost so many games. Wasted so many hours. We're talking HOURS of my life. I spend hours grinding, only to be paired with inters and afkers and toxics, through NO FAULT OF MY OWN, and lose it all AND some. It took my like 1254621 millennia to make it to honour level 2. Now I'm chat banned. Cool. What a waste of time. My literal life. All these years spent playing and wasted because it's as easy as a really stupid report system and a terrible match making algorythm system to RUIN ANY JOY I'VE EXPERIENCED.

So take it all, shove it. And if you're an immature duo, or toxic or flamer, or inter, or troll, or afker... please PLEASE reconsider playing ranked. It's where players WANT to PLAYYYYY. Not be little children and play peacemaker to your tantrums. Go jerk off your duo partners elsewhere and throw your tantrums with your toys in your cot at home, where your mummy can take care of you BECAUSE I WANT TO PLAY A DECENT RANKED GAME. tbh playing support means you kind of sign up for toxicity if you do poorly, youre the easiest scapegoat. but that aside, you get chat restricted if you retaliated. this trundle though, was he actually inting, like he said "mid or feed", "that's it open mid" etc?

As long as the geniuses at RIOT consider the auto ban system a complete success the toxicity will get worse and worse and worse.

Someone gets banned for toxicity, they make a new account and do the same thing. The circle of playing league created by this sorry AF auto system they created.

Funny, I don't remember it being this bad when the Tribunal was around because the actions that cause alot of the toxicity were taken care of for the most part by the player base.

The only thing I can say is change your play style and you might see better results. Along with that you might actually see that it's you that is the problem and not your teammates.
