I honestly wish 50% of the players in this game, that I have ever played with, were perm-banned.

While I get that it's a frustrating game, and Riot claims "the majority of players are sportsmanlike", I simply do not see it. I haven't gone one single day playing this game without seeing verbal abuse, harassment, and game play designed to intentionally upset another player. Personally, the negative attitude in this game is contagious and spreads like wildfire. It's even visible as far as famous streamers in this game.

I tuned in on a stream the other day just to see what's going on, and the first thing I see is a player intentionally not helping his teammate when he's in a position to. He comes back to lane, purposely lets his teammate die (then dances on his teammates dead body), then proceeds to kill the two enemies. This is while he talks about how he didn't like how the other player was doing earlier. Seriously, this piss poor attitude is everywhere in this game, like an epidemic.

There is nothing but negative attitudes and behavior EVERYWHERE in EVERYTHING related to this game. Complaints about items, champions, balance, other players, EVERYTHING. It's excessive and seriously way out of hand. I'm almost starting to believe that players should get banned on first offenses for everything, including on the boards for non-constructive posts related to balance.

Being away from League for a few weeks helped me see that the balance in the game is fine overall, the real problem is the players and the community for this game. The players who are contributing and promoting this negative behavior are at fault for making this game less fun for the rest of us, and they need removed. The cancer needs taken out of this game.

Seriously, I'd have to guess that 50% of the total players in this game (or more) are not the beautiful butterflies Riot wants us to think they are. They're wolves dressed like sheep, similar to that streamer who technically "isn't breaking the rules" but is promoting this poor attitude and behavior that should not be allowed to continue.

The behavior standards for League need to get much stricter, and this many years in players shouldn't even be given a chance anymore. The cancer needs removed, players should just get perma banned on first offenses, for the sanity of the rest of us.

Alright, Thanos.

same , when people quit the game , mostly it's not about the balance , it's about the playerbase itself , that includes a lot of boards users as well , even boards are full of salt , bias , arguing , you can't say your opinion without getting downvoted , and all the replies are just to argue

Permabans just mean new accounts for the banned...

when people make extreme claims like this, I don't believe them at all. Over thousands of games I've played, I just don't see it that often. I'd say maybe 1 in 10 games I'll see something I feel should be reported, and I've only seen a handful of players I think really belong to be permanently banned. Most games I've seen, players either don't talk at all, or just make bad jokes in chat. How the boards and general gaming community make it sound, I should see 3 AFKs, 2 inters, and atleast 4 people telling me to kill myself every game, but it just doesn't really doesn't happen that often. Maybe in the depths of bronze/iron? I've never been there so I don't know.

I would suggest taking a break from the boards, personally. It attracts an exceptionally high percentage of people complaining about the overall state of the game or posting their chat logs that are 9/10 times obvious cases that they should have been punished.

The thing is, permanently banning people is pointless. I've been perma'd 9 times, including on this account, and already have a 10th one I'm leveling up right now.

50% of people means you're the one with a problem

Have thicker skin or learn to utilize the mute button.

Toxic players will be in any competitive game. Don't let them control you and you will be fine.

VonToothskie12/18/2018, 8:22:41 AM2 votes

yeah i regularly find myself trapped in games with afk players or people who are griefing or toxic, and theyll argue that they are allowed to do it because its standard and therefore ok. half the time you say something reasonable like "please stop afking" or "stop insulting our teamates and play" the toxic players will respond with a combination of "ur trash" and "tyler does it so its ok". RIOT really needs to up their game on bans

This is your experience, and I'd be really surprised if you were seeing this behavior as often as you are. I'd also be interested in seeing examples of what you consider to be unsportsmanlike. With the number of people playing this game and the number of games you've played, I'd be surprised if you've seen even half a percent of the player-base, which makes your desire for 50% getting banned pretty extreme.

This shit is frustrating, I get it. I lost my series for Gold 2 twice last night due to similar behavior. That being said, that's 2 games out of 10 or 11. When you're playing a game with other people, there IS going to be a level of toxicity and negativity, not because it's okay, but because we're all human, and we all have bad days. Just let them know, "Hey, that's no necessary" or "There's a nicer way to say that" and if they continue, just mute them and move on and send the report at the end.

YerroFever12/22/2018, 6:55:15 PM1 votes

I don't ask players in my games if they've been premabanned before so I don't know. I can tell you that I THINK that about 20-25% of the players I have played with have had some history of punishment based on their behavior in game and what they type in chat pre game, in game, and post game. However, I cannot confirm it because I just don't know and honestly it's really not my business.

UF Dan12/19/2018, 6:37:56 AM1 votes

And this stupid attitude is what's keeping League Toxic. This Ban other players cause he said X attitude. Why don't you just learn to press the mute button? Does seing someone get banned satisfy you? Cause In my book that's just as toxic as the guy you just banned. But no. Instead ya'll advocate for the banning of verbal harassment when you could just mute, yet ignore the fact that someone can literally just afk halfway into the game cause he went 0/3 and get no punishment at worse and a leaverbuster at best. Because of this Report, don't Mute attitude and this hysteria around league being the most toxic game, I have a higher chance of getting banned for saying something in chat in 1 game than I have for afking 10 games and inting 5 in a row. It's even funnier when you realize that 90% of people in this community was infuriated at least 1 time and said something deplorable, yet everyone seems to be this Righteous Knight out to execute all who are toxic. It's even more ironic when you realize that if everyone started muting one another when toxic, being toxic would literally serve no purpose since you'd be talking to yourself, thus lowering any incentive to be toxic and thus lowering toxicity. All I'm saying is, I Wish I had the option to mute inters & afkers and not have them ACTUALLY ruin my game.

Riot no longer has the luxury of ban crusading, their player base isn't what it once was. It is in their best interest to not ban people unless they absolutely have to, for the longevity of the game.

Then new players adapt this behaviour.

T1's personality tends to overflow with excitement, yes, he might not be perfect, but then again, he woldn't be T1 if he would.
