Should Riot be permanently banning accounts without looking at the gameplay footage?
Recently my account was permanently banned by riot. I'm not here to say that all permabans are not deserved. I'm also not here to argue that my case was deserved or undeserved. I'm simply here to say that people can have toxic gameplay and that the system should take this into account when using action against someone. At some point or another we have all seen it. We all get that teammate that wont stop following us around trying to contest every cs or jungle camp we go to. The person in my case was clearly looking for a reaction and I sadly gave it to him by calling him "a little shit". What I'm trying to get at is that not every case is black and white based off the text alone. If you just look at the text of the game completely removed from the situation that is happening in the game, it would appear as harassment. If you look at the gameplay leading up to this point in the chat log it would not appear to be outright harassment, for the other person was clearly doing something to cause this reaction. Sure I did not need to make any comment to him at all, I probably would still have an account if I didn't. I still think that the system needs to incorporate the replay of the game to make a more informed decision on whether that player truly deserves the punishment received.
Excssive split pushing can sometimes be the equivalent of intentionally throwing the game... other times it will lead to a win) but the system does a decent job of differentiating toxic gameplay and non-toxic gameplay (I.e. intentional feed vs. just having a terrible game).
