Does asking to report a toxic player constitute as flaming?

I may have been a touch rude (no longer have my reform card so I can't post it); but the majority of it was please request this toxic as all hell player. Sometimes I repeated the request several times. In seasons past I was a beyond toxic POS. I have been trying to do better about it. Some days I do well; some not. My question is; at what point does asking for reports go from annoying to actually flaming another person? One of the games the only thing I said the entire time was please report this yi and that was it. After that game I received a 14 day chat ban.

Yes. Even once. Yes. The reason is one report flags a game the exact same as 9.

When you type that report begging question asking others to join you in reporting the player... you are doing a few things.

  1. Not changing the fact that you report is enough to flag and you don't need theirs.
  2. Targetting the player in chat causing them to possibly tilt.
  3. Trying to get others to bash the player or confirm they will also report. (Unnecessary.)

It's flaming and it gets punished.

It also has no way to positively impact your team or improve your win chance... if anything; it will lower it by creating more strife.

Simply asking to report someone who's been ruining the game (intentionally) isn't really flaming, but try to understand that when you do this the player is not likely to respond in a positive manner and it can make things unnecessarily worse. It is much better to just focus on the game and Mute and/or try to play around that person, and report them yourself after the match. Keep in mind that multiple reports don't do any more than a single one; the system will review the player's behavior whether it's 1 report or 9, and the results don't change with more reports.

Riot does not punish players for simply asking to report, but remember that it's unnecessary and can be harmful, and that it is possible for "report calling" to venture into harassment if you're being dishonest or obnoxious about it.

If you spam it. Why can't you report the player anyways?

This is 2018/2019, people report me for flaming and inting every game... even when I'm trying my best.
