Toxic towards trolls

Ok guys this has been weighing on my mind for quite some time now. So frequently in my games i get team mates who troll, actually int, don't listen to pings, die over and over and over again. This is perfectly acceptable. It is acceptable for them to completely ruin my games by their actions but the second that i say anything to them I am in the wrong. It is wrong for me to express why I don't want them to ruin my game. I am reported for being toxic. Yet they can just chalk their inting, trolling etc up to "having a bad game." There is something very wrong with this picture when someone who wants to win can be reported for typing to someone who doesn't want to win. I didn't use to type to anyone. I used to wait until the end of the game then report them like i was supposed to, but i have NEVER received a notification that someone has been punished for trolling. However if someone types something unsavory and i were to report them then you better believe they would be reprimanded. I am almost to the point that I don't want to play this game anymore because of how trolls are handled vs the people that type to them. I suppose i will probably be told that i am in the wrong here but I had to get this off my chest. GLHF

two wrongs don't make a right

Well it's much easier for Riot to issue punishments for chat because it's handled by an automated system.

However with intentional feeding it's a little more time consuming because it requires a manual review by an employee. They can't leave it to an automated system due to there being more of a grey area, with people who are actually having a bad game.

I agree the system isn't perfect and they need to improve when it comes to punishing people purposely ruining games but in the meantime do your best to not have an outburst in chat. I know it's not always easy but you're only hurting yourself by doing so.

Good luck in your future games!

It really depends on how you respond to them. If you respond with toxicity, then your actions are punishable. If you simply remind them they are not contributing to the team politely, although it’s not really helping them improve their gameplay, is not offensive or punishable. As another response here stated, two wrongs don’t make a right.
