Riot should take different measurements regarding players punishments.

Out of 100 people getting banned, only 1 or 2 of them get banned for actually cheating/trolling/feeding, the rest of them get a permaban for cussing. Why doesn't Riot remove the right to use the chat instead of suspending someone's account for his/her behaviour. And if that person starts missbehaving by feeding/trolling/etc then sure, permaban him. But not like this.

Because there are plenty of people who use chat and don't flame?

For the 100,000th time that this thread has been posted - they did an infinite chat restriction before.

Believe it or not, assholes will still be assholes even if they can't chat - they'll resort to other methods of assholery. Riot isn't interested in finding ways to keep toxic people playing - they want them to stop playing.

Don't believe the white knighting.

Riot has publicly stated that 75% of people improved behavior after just a verbal warning. Escalating the punishment means dealing with smaller and smaller data sizes. 87% improve after one punishment. 94% improve after two punishments. 97% improve after three punishments.

Riot has another statistic that I'm not sure of the actual number. Something like .06% of players ever get a permanent ban. Basically, infinite chat bans don't work on .06% of the community so Riot abandons the entire concept. Doesn't sound right to me.

As someone that had their account banned, I think Riot has their ban system set fairly.

Sometimes forcing people into an unfair decision on their end is the best way to make them understand the consequences of their actions.

I don't like that I had my account banned either, but it doesn't mean that I don't think it was unfair. Abuse is abuse, and racial, mental and emotional harassment is immature, unnecessary and poor. Yes, that's hypocritical of me, but still, Riot's decision making is fair - although I'd prefer a perma-chat ban and permanent leaverbuster instead. Gives people 20 minutes to cool off and rethink.

i can't believe i actually intended to talk about this on boards. Reading the comments made me realise that people don't comprehend what i've just said. I said "why don't you just chatban toxic people" and people are like "bEcAuSe tHeRe aRe PlEnTy Of PeOpLe WhO uSe ChAt AnD dOn'T fLaMe?"

I suggested this method just because, if you wanna know, money is money. And besides that, the banned accounts are still existing, they are a waste of space, instead of at least remove those accounts they just lock it. Some people say riot actually gives the banned accounts to other people (could be LCS players or riot members)

I feel sad to know that a few years ago the boards were not r%%%%%ed. And they actually used their brains to understand what they're reading.

Last time i ever touch this joke of a platform
