How did this get me chat restricted for 10 games?

I have a really clean record and I was honor level 4 checkpoint 2. I normally keep quiet in chat other than strats. For context this game I was jungling with a duo riven and nasus. My team was having some champ select doubts bc the nasus was mid and riven was top (they switched in game). They both went on to die at least twice each before I had much time to help them. I decided to focus bot to try and win and got hard flamed by the riven constantly for not helping her (0/4 by this point). I didnt say anything through all of this and wasnt going to until the game was basically over Both of them were about 0/6 when I decided to say something to their constant flaming.

Sorry for long post I just dont think this is justified enough to restrict me when i have had a completely clean track record, and over ONLY this SINGLE game. I can only see one MAYBE 2 lines that are questionable.

Remember that this isn't the only game it's judging you from. This is only the one of the recent games that lead up to the punishment. You called your teammates trash, asked for reports and overall just blamed them when it does absolutely no good. If they are truly flaming and inting, rep them after game. Asking for reports is pointless since 1 report already triggers a review, stacked reports don't escalate review/punishment at all.

Funny, it looks like the flaming started at the 3rd kill. You insulted them for more than just 2 lines. More like 90% of your chat log is insulting your teammates directly and indirectly.

How do you know you have a clean record? It is entirely possible to be honored and validly reported in the same game. Rito punishes based on consistency x severity. Since this is not a 14 day, severity doesn't applied. You were consistently mildly toxic (e.g. not a clean record) in your past game and this is the one that pushed you into punishment territory.

Again, it is possible to be honored and validly reported in the same game. Just because you have been honored does not mean you have a clean track record. You gain honors passively by playing games even if you are validly reported albeit honor progression is slower, not stopped. The fact that you are honor 4 does not mean you have a clean record or you haven't been validly reported all the way there.

You were toxic from the chat, and this is a very common misconception so let me clear it up for you, you CANNOT defend yourself. You are not justified in calling people trash regardless of how trash they actually are, and you asked for a report. All of these things equal you getting chat restricted. If you want to make life easier on yourself they put in an option that /allmutes chat when you play a game, trust me you should do that, it will save you a lot of time and getting banned.

I wouldn't say you were toxic in the least. You vented at what sounded like two brainless monkeys who were dumping their bad performance on you. But just as p3tm4ster pointed out, you're just simply not allowed to talk like that way in chat, regardless of the circumstances. Do I think it's fair? Not at all. But this shit happens.

Worst thing about this though is that those wackjobs most definitely slipped through the punishment system and are going to ruin more games.

Hmmm ... did something change in the past 2 months of playing this game?

You decided to take the game more seriously? Stress building up irl? You getting bored of the game?

If you were truly h4-2 and only lvl 132, then what that tells me is that there is a sudden spike in your toxicity and that spike caused you to get chat restricted.

Meh... their bullshit wore you down and you finally retaliated, breaking the rules in the process. The punishment is valid. Cant insult players. Its the mildest of punishments for the mildest of violations.
