What to do when someone afks or d/cs 1 minute in? 4v5?

If someone afks or d/cs from your match after the first round of "Surrenders" are available, let's say... 5 minutes in.... Are you "forced" to play a 4v5, or 3v5, etc until the other side wins? What if they have great players and a great comp?

Should we have to endure players harassing us they'll report us AFK if we don't want to spend 15-20+ minutes when our teammates won't surrender even though we're completely outnumbered? What if someone is saying "I'll report you afk" over and over even though you're already losing and they won't hit "Yes" ??

Confused by this.

It's entirely possible to win a 4v5.

And if somebody else leaves and YOU afk in response, AND the game is taking another 15-20 minutes... your 3v5 team probably had a decent shot at winning if you had actually contributed.

So, as with all games of League, respect the surrender vote. If it fails, you're expected to play to win. If you don't, expect to be justifiably reported.

You play to win or you get reported for afking. You are as bad as the person that leaves first, if not worse because you chose to leave whereas they might just have had net issues and they will get leaverbusted anyway. Sitting in base and or just playing in a way to simply not be flagged afk is disgraceful and means you are a troll. Sorry that's how it is. 4v5 3v5 or 2v5 if the team doesn't chose to /ff you are expected to play the game to the best of your capability.

Unfortunately, to prevent rule abuse...Yes. You have to play it out. At that point, just work on your mechanics and stuff, and hope the AFK wasn't a vital role.

It's possible to win a 4v5, if you massively outscale the enemy or are able to massively snowball and end before the fact that it's a 4v5 matters. If you have a strong splitpusher (Nasus, Trynd, Yorick, or any other champion that can split from the group and you need multiple people to stop), they could also draw 2-3 of them away to make it more favorable for the rest of the team.

The biggest thing to do is avoid a true teamfight. Never engage all 5 head-on. Make picks, split up, keep massive pressure in all lanes...Basically do whatever you can to prevent them from actually using their numbers advantage well.

Flip it around... should we have to put up with players afking because our team doesn't want to surrender? Should people be allowed to break the rules because they don't feel like playing a game out? Why should you get a pass to break the rules because you've decided the rest of your team shouldn't be allowed to play? If you're losing in basketball do you quit and go home 5 minutes in and leave the rest of your team to play without you?

There’s a /remake chat command available after a few minutes into the game and goes away a couple minutes later. Not sure on the exact timing.

Afk yourself,or if you don't want to get leaver buster just soft afk. Either that or you'll have to play the game out.

Mute harrassmers, simple and easy. If your team won't surrender, then just stop trying to win the game, only do that when the game is unwinable.

This system sounds corrupt. It's like no matter how much harassment is happening you're expected to play when you're at a huge disadvantage. smh
