Getting banned for saying "kys" in a joking manner

So i just got suspended for 14 days, because of unsportsmanlike conduct. The reason? I was doing some jokey smack-talk about how captain difficulty in the event mode without augments is hard, so you have to do specific choices to have a chance. And then the teammates in the chat starting spamming every time i tried to talk (in a joke as well) so then at some point i said (again, as a joke) "kys" "kys" "xd" "xd". Apparently someone reported me for this. I'd like to point out the fact i got banned for abusive language that was obviously meant as a joke, and i'd hope people would look into the reports before seeing someone said the K abbreviation and insta banned. It's like being jokingly racist about blue buff, but then some moderator comes along because someone did a report for some reason, sees the racist text and bans without looking into it (Happened to someone i know.) Kind of unfair, the person doesn't mean any harm to any player, and i understand why i could be punished for this, but a no-warning 14 day ban? I'm pretty much pleading at this point for an unban, because the event looks really cool and i'd rather not miss out on it.... Why not mute me for a few games instead? This seems very harsh for 2 joke "kys" that were lost int he sea of spam anyways.

Telling another player to kill themselves is considered to be a severe violation of the rules, a completely inappropriate joke, and a zero-tolerance policy that earns a 14-day ban on the first offense.

Riot takes it seriously even if you don't. There is such a thing as an inappropriate joke. We only have your word that everyone understood it as a "joke", especially since you got reported for it.

I'm a suicide survivor; my young men's president completed when I was a freshman in high school. I don't know what you think a "joke" is, but that's not it. And, I've been hospitalized for it myself. I don't know why kids think this is acceptable, and I don't particularly care. In my opinion, you got off light.

There's no saving you from this. Joking or not you never tell someone to kill themselves. And if you got banned then that means that you were warned by the system of what would happen if you continued this behavior. You ignored it, and now you're paying for it.

For my first point, I feel like it somewhat depends on how long the last ban was. Maybe the distance between bans could definitely play a role, especially if it is for the same reason.

But on the idea of why you got banned, saying kys is not something that people take lightly, and many see it as the direct opposite of a joke. On one hand it comes off as trolling to some people (not saying I am one of them), but to others it is triggering because they don't find it funny based on how some people are actually sensitive enough to do it. Maybe your punishment was a bit harsh, but I guess they wanted to make sure that you never say it again.

This is the text of the ban. Above where i said "preorted" is where some guy said "reported" in response. Again, i thought they were joking, i didn't think they'd actually report and i'd actually get banned for it...

Yeah, 'kys' is considered zero-tolerance by Riot (as it should be.)

No matter what your intent may be it's unacceptable to use that language on Riot's platform.

Oh... and one last point. Looking at the riot punishment system, supposedly, they give you 2 chat restrictions, then a 14 day ban, then a perma ban. I have only gotten one chat restriction in the past (for a similar case as this, but since i didnt get banned and miss out entirely on an event, i didn't bother folliwng up on it and accepted it), not two.
