Took a break after multiple feeders and afks in 6 placement matches... Came back today to try to finish the last 4. Played a warm up game. everything seems fine........... Load into game 7 of placement matches........... jungler buys items then afks................. now the 3rd game out of my placement matches this happened. So I am 2/5 in placement matches an 3 of those losses are from people afking in the first 5 mins................... HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO NOT GET STUCK LOW ELO? But elo hell is not real? How is this fun for people..... I have always stayed away from ranked because I don't care to climb, and why would i want to even try when this is what majority of my games turn into???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? How is this fun? You cannot gain MMR or LP when you have to win 4v5s. Maybe people really good at the game can. But I am not, so riot just says screw the little guys trying to learn and have fun? Because that is what is feels like.

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR PLACEMENT.

This is not South Korea 2010 where you get discounts on menu items if you're Gold or higher.

Play with honor, play your best, and soon enough you will be in the placement you should be. With extremely bad luck it might take a hundred games, but that's not likely. That only happens because there are millions of players. You just played 7 games. Chill out.

"ELO hell" is the wrong concept for any set of games smaller than 100.

The first week or so of placements are probably the worst. Everyone is trying to rush through them, tempers are high (often for the same or similar reasons you listed), and the MMR compression pushes people of wider skills together than normal.

I don't think I've ever tried to rush placements first week, and only do first month if there a mission for it.

I know, it doesn't help when you've already played most of your placements, but that's just what I've seen happen pretty much every year at the start of the season.

Welcome to team games. I dont play league that often anymore (just if a friend is on like one day a week or so) because im not a fan of large team games. In starcraft, 2v2 is okay, but I still stick to 1v1s because I just hate being at the mercy of random strangers performing well enough to win a game. Id rather rely on myself and get placed based on my own personal skill relative to others. I am diamond in starcraft, silver in league lol. Just not a fan of big teams.

It sounds like youre mad at Riot for some reason over this lol. Dude, they cant control people. This is the nature of team games with random anoymous strangers. Accept it or play something else like I do. No biggy.

Match 8, auto filled to jun, (my worse role and the second time in 4 games) o yeah and the enemy jun has 900K mastery points.......................... Now 2/6 and i totally got a fair chance at placement matchesss......................NOT. I AM DONE. This is why i avoid ranked in the past and why there is no point in even trying when I dont even got to play the game. But riot cares about creating a good game...... what a joke of a company.

Oof. Sounds painful, OP. I knew that ranked was a pit dug up with that shining hextech key set as bait! Sounds tough but hey, you just gotta grind it out now. Mute everyone and do what you can.
