I don't know how many times I have been chat restricted, but I think Riot just got tired of it and decided to just suspend me. I really don't know how I feel about it... This game is suppose to be about having fun, but what fun can there be when half of your team is 0/5 + before the 15 minute mark, and worst when there is a person who thinks everything is funny and keeps doing stupid stuff to try to cover up for his failure. In Riot's eyes, words > afk, feeding on purpose. I bet everyone forgot about the game already, but I guess I have to remember it.

Riot and the community got tired of you.

It's not that words > afk/feeding. It's that words are just as bad. Just because your team is doing poorly or doing something you don't agree with doesn't give you the right to be toxic towards them in chat.

The report system is there to help eliminate the type of players you describe, but if you decide to be toxic towards them in chat then you can expect them to use that same report system against you and you should expect to be punished - which is what occurred.

Exactly. And harassing other players isn't exactly the definition of "having fun" for them, thats why you are punished for it.

I don't know how many times I have been chat restricted, but I think Riot just got tired of it and decided to just suspend me.

The punishment system has changed. Now there are only 4 levels of punishment: 10 games CR, 25 games CR, 2 week ban, perma ban. So if you already got to the ban level, the next step will be a permanent suspension. Keep in mind that just one game of breaking the rules after this ban might get you banned permanently.

In Riot's eyes, words > afk

It's not about who's worse, it's both not ok, thats why both gets punished. You go afk ---> you get hit by the leaverbuster. You flame ---> You get hit by the tribunal/ban system.

The funny part is that I just woke up and was having my first cup of coffee of the morning, and I am usually happy around this time. However, what got me heat up is when the "support" in my team being 0/7 starts to flame my midlaner 0/5 - and is just like what kind of hypocrite are you? I guess I fell into his trolling game and got myself banned. I really just wish to start over but I have spend way too much money into this account to just throw it away.

Change your behavior or a perma is next. Just don't type as much if you lack the maturity to control your temper.

Well, Riot does care about feeders and trolls.

I think the reason people don't think they do is because it's much easier to identify verbal abuse. That doesn't mean they care differently about either kind of behavior, but it does mean that one kind gets recognized and punished faster.

Rioters have said that they watch vids and monitor gameplay that way for trolls and intentional feeders. Griefing in game CAN get noticed.

But the time it takes to watch a game, and the time it takes to identify slurs and profanity in chat, is very different. One slur in chat is enough for a punishment. That takes a couple of seconds to see once the chat window is pulled up. Trolling in game is different. A Rioter will actually have to watch the vid and see if they agree, maybe even getting a second opinion. It just takes longer, period. Nothing they can do about that.

Also, if you get chat restricted, it means you are being verbally abusive. Your "I don't know how many times..." comment reveals that you haven't really learned your lesson about how to respect other people. It doesn't matter how hard they are flaming; you can't verbally abuse them. If you do, you're no better, and you are contributing to continued toxicity in the game environment.
