So my friend got 20 minute wait time for going AFK, he actually crashed.

So first of all I'm sorry if I don't have all the details, but my friend and I went duo queue in a normal draft pick and his game crashed during loading screen. His last five minute wait time was also for crashing, but he just waited it out. Once again, he crashed during loading screen. We weren't even in a ranked either! I think he rage quit the game... Haven't seen him on since then actually.

So I was just wondering if this is a justified wait time or a mistake. If it is something that is non revokable that's okay. Just wondering lol [cass-cry]

Regardless of whether your machine crashed or you just decided to leave, the experience for your team is the same. If you have a computer that is so unreliable that it crashes often enough (and takes long enough to boot back up) to give you penalties, you probably shouldn't be playing the game. Sucks but what can you do?

and how is riot's system supposed to know if someone crashed or left

the system can't tell the difference. whether the computer crashed or he left it dont matter. the system sees it as leaving and therefore nailing him.

Coming back on this for no reason lol, I haven’t seen him since! I’m actually kind of disappointed... we never got a chance to go death blossom jungle!
