This really has been bothering me since i'm very curious, could i also please know why they didn't just give me a chat mute, instead of not letting me play for 2 weeks?

Conclusion:

Not the worst I've seen but I can see this receiving a punishment due to the poor conduct you displayed here. Under normal circumstances this would only receive a chat restriction, but it got you a 2-week ban since the CRs don't seem to be hammering home the message that insulting and harassing others isn't okay regardless of the reason why. You're on thin ice now so another slip-up will result in a permanent ban. I would highly suggest working on improving your behavior and refrain from insulting and harassing others. If you don't like people insulting you then don't do it yourself.

Uhhhhh.....

So a couple of scenarios could have happened here.

  1. you previously gotten a 25 game chat restriction and just continued with many games of mild toxicity. If this is the case, you would progress through the standard 4 punishment tiers.

  2. You were actually trolling, got manually reviewed and punished, the behavior specialist that selected the punishment reason selected the wrong reason.

  3. The system gave you the wrong chatlogs due to a bug. Typically when the system confused on of your games with a game with zero tolerance words in it.

  4. you edited those chatlogs to remove zero tolerance words

Not sure what it will be, but the community probably can't help you for this specific case, as we don't have enough information. Submit a ticket to https://support.riotgames.com and ask them what's going on.

Insulting people is against the rules. Pretty simple. Just thats how Riot made the rules. Nothing personal. If youre really just curious, yes that is the reason, whether you like it or not.
