As we all know boosting accounts is still a problem that riot does their best to handle but they only consider it "boosting" if someone gets onto an account that they don't own in fact the only real reason riot has a problem with boosting is account sharing that's the only thing they care about but I think that boosting should also be someone playing on a smurf and duoing with a lower elo player I understand this may be hard to combat but it's not fair to the competitive integrity of the game and some may say "Well if they play more games in that elo they will fall out of it" but they don't have to play more games all they have to do is sit on the rank and play one game once a month as to not decay it also makes it unfair to the people that have to play with the boosted player when they get to the desired rank since they shouldn't be in that elo they will make mistake that higher elo players can capitalize on it puts the people playing with the boosted player in an unfair position that they can't do much about I'd like to hear the rest of the community's thoughts on this

Yes, people getting carried to higher MMR via duo queues does damage the accuracy of the matchmaking.

On the other hand people want to play ranked with their friends! Its fun. Do you really want to force everyone to solo queue just to deal with a few 'boosted' players? The game is anti-social enough already without more restrictions on group queues.

Also - the reason why Riot takes a hard line towards people boosting somebody else's account by playing for them is two fold. 1. People getting tribunal banned for the other person's behavior. Its your own fault for letting that person on your account in the first place. 2. People getting their accounts stolen or "hacked" because they gave their account info to some shady boosting website.

Also please use paragraphs. They make things easier to read.

The issues with people using boosting services or having a smurf pull up their rank is present. However, what I view as the greatest flaw to these methods is maintaining that rank. Sure, a person can easily rarely play on the ranked bracket, but a new season comes out to battle for the same position. Then, what is the point of getting the rank but not playing in the tier? Those people are not going to be playing, so overall, rank positioning is not affected. Another aspect would be this: why do you, as a player, participate in the ranked system? Do you desire to improve your skills drastically? Do you simply want to socialize in a friendly game of ranked? Maybe a darker source of interest comes into play of ruining others chances. When I play ranked, a person being boosted only provides a means of becoming even better. Losing LP to the people is horrible. On the other hand, the experience gained from playing those boosters allows for climbing all the faster in the long run. Send me a reply on your thoughts.
