This is the true definition of sportsmanship and selflessness. Lutherman could've gotten an easy win, but she didn't. She chose to do the morally right thing and help her fellow marathoner. This makes her an example to all of us, along with many others.

The reason I'm posting this in Player Behavior is that (even though it's not the exact same situation) it shows that sometimes you don't have to exploit the disadvantages of the enemy to win. Because even though you might lose the game you can still be the moral winner and that to me has thousands of times more value in it than any competitive trophy ever will.

Thanks for reading.

This is what needs taught in school.

A similar situation happened recently when I was flying from Boston to Toronto. Our flight was cancelled because the incoming plane never made it. They rebooked the next two flights completely full to compensate. When people were getting on my rebooked flight, everyone was helping each other get bags situated too.

Now the real kicker? When they rebooked people, they necessarily had to split groups across the plane, putting them in whatever open seats there were. I saw no less than 7 instances on this 70 seat plane or so where passengers were offering to switch without being asked just to help families and friends sit together.

We are all human and all on this Earth until we die. There's no sense not doing everything possible to make each other's lives just a slight bit better. Building people up is infinitely more powerful and helpful to society and ourselves than is tearing people down or treating them like shit.

In the league, it's more like I killed you bitch!!! Spam emote, spam air hump.

Reality is, compare league to UFC then the behaviours are inline. Mike Tyson approves, maybe? XD
