do you show any respect to other players, regardless of team, champion, game mode, whatever? why or why not?

I virtually never show respect to my enemies.

I only show respect to my teammates when they are playing well, or are being entertaining.

For me, respect is earned not given.

Mute all, speak kindly, play your best. Simple formula to win.

Respect is something you earn. If you play something you are familiar with but play poor i respect you. If you troll pick in a ranked game for the luls then no i do not respect you because you clearly do not respect me.

Calling it chivalry is misleading. It is an early internet thing mixed with a lack of empathy because you can't see the person. It is easier for people to take out their personal problems and aggression on others and then say "well that's how the internet works."

There's a difference between respect and toxic flaming. It's okay to play as if your enemy actually is your enemy, that's the competitive spirit. But showing undue disrespect just shows everyone that you're a baby that can't control your emotions.
